I am a gospel preachr from Nigeria.
christianity is not a variation of sun worship and the stories in the Bible not built around astrological symbolism.
voice of history has a proof about the existence of the originator of christianity Jesus christ, His life, home background and ministry.the followers of his teaching were called christians. there are a lot of historical proof that he died and was buried, and ressurected on the third day. Biblically speaking, he rose on the third day being sunday, and Apostolic examples, showed that most of the gathering of his followers were on sunday. 1cor. 16:1-2.Acts. 20:7 etc.
God is the one who gave us his son and the writers of the holy writ has not even being discribed as Astrologers even by the great scholars of their time. Paul, was affirmed a lawyer, luke, a doctor, Peter, a fisher man, and Mathew, a tax collector.
Astorlogy and Christianity are two different things. one is about the material and cosmic compossitions, why the other talks about faith and confidence on the reality and existence of God the great being and creator of astroloogy.
christianity is not a type of idolatery or paganism that worships the created instead of the creator. like the people of Arthens.christians are not sun worshippers, but rather followers of Jesus christ. the one who died for them and rose again for their salvation from sin. it encourages followers not to worship idols, in whatever form or design.Romans chapter 2.

Worded that simply, it is not.

However, alignment of many early Christian churches does best agree with the assumption that Jesus in particular was strongly linked to the sun.
The date of Christmas used to be that of "Sol Invictus" in the Roman empire. Essentially, a hostile takeover of a religious key date - and in a way that links Jesus to the sun.
So yes, there is evidence Jesus in particular was given aspects of a sun god by early Christians.

As for being built around astrological symbolism, saying most stories in the bible are is taking it a bit far. But some certainly are.

To any christians that just tried to shoot this question down, smack yourself and study up on pagan sun worship, and its ties to christianity

Pagan sun worship and messiah worship have been the smae story pretty much for thousands of years, Christianity was made by constantine as a way to unite rome (pagan and jew) under a universal religion. It was easier that way.

Christianity was made to unite rome and its people (useing fables from pagan myth and judaistic myth) and now look at it, Its preached as fact and forced on children at sunday school...

Christianity built it's self upon various older religions just as those same older religions built upon even older religions. Most Christians will deny this through ignorance and the mistaken belief that the Resurrection or trinity are concepts unique to the Christ.

The usual faith of the barbarians is Paganism. Althought the elementary tenants have been an identical, some aspects replaced from tribe to tribe. Like pagans in Hawaii worshiped in a distinctive way than Euorpean Pagans.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Deut 5:7

Any Christian who believes the scriptures does not worship the sun. Why fight Christianity as though it has existed purely in the hands of culture, non-believing Roman rulers, etc and not consider what the bible has to say for itself???

Oh yes!!! You un-believers are so right. Your answers and questions just beam with your intelligence. What are us poor ignorant Christians to do in the sight of such obvious brilliance. And of course you've read the Bible and have interpreted it to 100% accuracy. Oh no, you've caught us what are we to do now. Boo Hoo Hoo!!!

"There is a principle which is a bar to all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance--that principle is contempt prior to investigation" -- Herbert Spencer

Maybe if you could heed this quote you'd be better off but I guess you're too intelligent for that.
