The Secret is all about worshiping yourself and you do rituals to achive your wishes which moslty have to do with money, image and sex.
So is "The Secret" kind of what Satan told eve?
Or is the Bible the one that is holding humanity back from reaching new levels of consciousness?

Yes actually it is. It is the same Principal as Scientology. It makes us accountable to ourselves for everything and not to God. It leaves God out altogether making us our own Gods. I totally believe in thinking positive but not to the point of making it a religion. That is what they are doing. It also opens the door for us blaming ourselves if our lives are not perfect. The real "Secret" they don't want out is this is just another New Age religion. The so called Secret is just another lie. Evita

Within "The Secret" there are some true spiritual laws. What you say and what you believe do determine might of your future. But the way "The Secret" is being taught, it ignore the power of God which works through your faith, and the motives that God wants to have when we use our faith.
It can see the same thing in the Bible idea of "giving". If you are generous with your money, you will attract people to you. And they will often help you to be more successful. The Bible speaks of this as "Give and it shall be given unto you".
A business man woulc take this principle, give in such a way that in the end he only helps himself, and end up the rich. But have done nothing of real value in the world. Another person with a pure motive can take the same principle, give of his time, talents, and money to others in need at God's directions. People will rally around and start a movement which helps and changes thousands of lives, and reaps rewards for that person - and all of mankind - for generations to come.
Both worked the same principle, but one for himself, and the other for God and mankind.
While many of the principles of "The Secret" are true, the way it is being taught is too often from a selfish motive and for wrong reasons. It is not an issue with principles, but with the motives.

And the idea that the Bible is holding people back from achieving new states of consciousness is completely wrong.
Law of attraction is the problem because it is not only based on a lie; it is a lie.
The Bible is not the problem; law of attraction is.

seriously, consider a few more possibilities than one of two books being the guide to life.
edit: what guides you best is what helps you to guide yourself. I'll suggest Daode Jing and the Principia Discordia, but that's just how I roll. Ask others around you and in the philosophy and literature sections what the book is that taught them most. I'm sure there's more out there to learn.
