Definitely. The karmas are the determinantal factor.
"Karma" is sometimes considered life's "hard knocks" - the many unpleasant experiences a soul goes through here on planet earth. Some others would interpret "Karma" to be "divine retribution" or a punishment from God against those who sin. But by definition, "Karma" simply means the forces of action and reaction - the law of cause and effect. "Karma" is like one of Newton's laws of physics - every action has its equal and opposite reaction ("you reap what you sow"). All things you have ever done in the past, returns to bite or bless you in the future. In other words, "Karma" is a cyclic energy – “what goes around comes around” (harming or praising you). "Karma" is the universal law of justice that balances the energetic forces of your life - there is no escaping it - everyone is personally responsible for all that they have ever done. Karma also has no time limits - if in one moment in one life you set in motion a particular act, you may not reap the fruit of it until many years... or many lives later. If one plants a seed in the ground, that seed will eventually grown into a tree - this is "Karma"

"Karma" means action. Rebirth is a theory. In simple words Karma can be explained by Newton's Third Law of Motion " For every Action there is an equal and opposite reaction". There is a belief among the Eastern religions that all of the things that we have or have not done in our past lives will generate certain effects in this and future lives. It is not the purpose of Karma to reward or punish. but to purify our conscious. Briefly it is the Karmic cycle. Christianity also believes that man reaps what he sows.

yes. But as you try to settle them, you create more. Unending cycle really.
Kpetty has good points which can be looked at. Only when we give up this material existence will the karma fully end.
we need to do this by becoming purified and developing our spiritual identity. For this we need Guru. Guru will be the guide, the inspiration, and will kindle within you the love which is an intrinsic, yet dormant part of us.
we can go so far on the path towards self realization and towards God, but as we get closer, we need Guru's grace. Guru and God can cut the karma away.

1. We are all spiritual souls (Atma) trapped in the Material World, in the cycle of life, death and rebirth.
2. A part of God (Param-Atma) dwells with our soul (Atma) in our physical bodies.
3. Whatever good or bad actions that we take are noted down in our Karma accounts, by this Param-Atma.
4. When we die, our soul (Atma) is assigned a different body, thus continuing the cycle of life, death and rebirth (reincarnation).
5. Entire existence is divided into two realms: Material World and Spiritual World.
6. The Material World consists of Heaven, Earth and the Hellish planets.
7. When we die, our soul gets assigned a physical body in Heaven, Hell or Earth according to the Good or Bad Karma we have accumulated in our Karma accounts.
8. Even in Heaven, we keep on accumulating Karma by our actions. We eventually die there too and are assigned another physical body in another part of the Material World, according to the Karma we have accumulated there.
9. In this way, souls living in the Material world are trapped in a continuous cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
10. We can break out of this cycle of rebirth of the Material World and move up to the Spiritual World by renouncing our Karma (both good and bad).
11. The different paths of Yoga (as described in the Bhagavad Gita) help us renounce our Karma.
12. There are two streams of thought which describe what happens when we do attain the Spiritual World by renouncing our Karma.
13. The Dvaita philosophy (dualism) states that on reaching the Spiritual World, a soul keeps it's identity distinct from God, lives in an immortal and non-ageing body, and interacts with God.
14. The Advaita philosophy (non-dualism) states that on reaching the Spiritual World, a soul loses it's distinct identity and merges with the infinite God (Brahman) and experiences Sat (Absolute Truth), Chit (Absolute Consciousness) and Anand (Absolute Bliss).
15. Either way, in the Spiritual World is a place of immortality and bliss.

Karmas only whether good or bad will bring us into the world. If these Karmas are desire less then they will not bring us into the world.

It is Karma which are responsible for our re-birth (second imp is desires)
As long as Karmic-debts and desires are there we will continue taking births.
Good Karma alone can not get us Moksha, although they make a ground for it. For Moksha deep meditation and transcending both good and bad karma is required.

i think this is only a myth. no one has seen the person who has gone outside from this world. the fruit of karma whether it is sweet or bitter is settled only in this world although it can be belated. every thing ends with the demise of the person. this is my personal thinking.
