Well I don't really consider playing poker gambling, but I've had swings where I've been up over a hundred dollars in a day and lost a hundred dollars in a day.
But then again, that's poker. If you're playing anything else the house always holds the edge, with Blackjack having the smallest house advantage.

The most I've ever lost in one day was $1200 in Las Vegas. I was drinking heavily and playing stupid. I have a friend who blew $5000 the same day. Needless to say we both hit the nickel slots for the remainder of the trip.
btw, due to our heavy losses the hotel comp'ed our room and all of our meals at the end. Softens the blow a little bit.
