for food shopping: I go to the Western Beef on Southern Blvd and E 173rd street. There is a Pathmark on E. 174th street and Boston Road, and there is a Food Baazar on 161st St, a block away from the Grand Concourse.
clothes shopping: there are shopping hubs in the Bronx for your clothes shopping needs. They are: 3rd Avenue shopping hub, tremont shopping hub, gun hill road shopping hub, fordham road shopping hub and southern blvd shopping hub. Fordham road is the better, for it has name brands like the gap and discount dept stores like conway. Baychester is a shopping mall with stores like old navy, jc penneys, kmart, marshalls and modells.
