devora, identical twins are the result of a split post-conception. If the soul enters at the beginning of life then when exactly does life begin? If you say "conception" then your answer here cannot be true.

My hubby is a deist and his identical twin is a Christian missionary. As far as the existence of a soul, I suggest we start out this little discussion talking about Santa.

The Bible says people are a trinity of body, soul, and spirit. The soul is present at conception since the embryo is living, but the spirit comes with the first breath. Twin fetuses each have a body and soul but no spirit, hence they are not fully complete until born. At that point, although their spirit is already morally dead--owing to thel sin of Adam, the race's prototype--if the person later believes in Christ as God and Savior, their spirit is reborn from above and their soul undergoes a complete metamorphisisTheir body will then be re

That makes no sense at all. One twin can continue to live without the other, and isn't a "zombie". Each have separate lives. How about sextuplets, a soul divided sex ways? Duh.

I have no idea of when the soul enters the body, perhaps with it's first breath? At conception? Until "soul" can be measured, no one will know either.

The soul is united to the body (or in this case, 2 souls are united to the single twin zygote) at conception. There is obviously some information contained in the twin zygote which tells it that it is two people.

I'm a twin, and I like to think I and my sister both have a soul. If not I guess we're the equivalant of animals according to christians seeing as christians don't think animals have souls. Whatever.

if you believe in souls, you could argue that they also divide into 2 complete souls, just like how twins develop

Hello Murazor.. :)

The soul according to the Bible..is life, the physical body.. :)
So, yes they are two separate souls..like Jacob and Esau

The spirit is not the same, it is separate (the spirit of the world)

Or the (Holy Spirit which is from God)..celestial body.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)
