Well the dictionary has a definition for the word moral so I guess it is in use somewhere. However to me moral means absolutely funk all. I do not live my life according to what insane people want, even if it is written in some old book that is not worth the toilet paper it is written on.

A value judgement.

Morality is a generally a list of value judgements. It is a general heuristic for what is right or wrong to do. Since it is a value judgement, people have different morals based on what their values are.

Morality's greatest value is in allowing people to live among each other in relative peace. Therefore, the best morals are those that deal with how to deal with other people. Of course, other people have different morals, so when you meet them, you have to come up with some overlap or compromise in order to interact with them on any regular basis. Laws are one such implementation of this. Laws generally don't match anybody's personal morality exactly, but they offer a generic framework in which people can interact. Therefore, the best laws are those that adjudicate interactions between people.

If something is 'moral' (in the sense of being morally good) then it means the judgment of good behaviour according to your conscience. That's the dictionary definition.

To me it's your standard of living. What is the best thing to do in a bad situation? That is where you morals come into play. Are you going to go ahead with making the bad situation your troubles now too, or are you going to stand up for what you believe in and get away from the situation as fast as possible?

I tell my kids this. "If you are out and about and someone wants you to do something that's wrong.....just imagine that your father or I is standing right next to you....THEN make up your mind!" Plus they also know God DOES see what us as parents DON'T see when our kids are out.

A moral is a message conveyed or a lesson to be learned from a story or event.

Perhaps you meant "morality" in which case:
Morality (from Latin moralitas "manner, character, proper behaviour") refers to the concept of human action which pertains to matters of right and wrong—also referred to as "good and evil"—used within three contexts: individual distinction; systems of valued principles—sometimes called conduct morality—shared within a cultural, religious, secular or philosophical community. Personal morals define and distinguish among right and wrong intentions, motivations or actions, as these have been learned, engendered, or otherwise developed within individuals. By contrast, ethics are more correctly applied as the study of broader social systems within whose context morality exists. Morals define whether I should kill my neighbour Joe when he steals my tractor; ethics define whether it is right or wrong for one person to kill another in a dispute over property.

"Moral" means "according to the law of G-d."

The main law is the Golden Rule:

"What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow man. This is the law: all the rest is commentary." (Rabbi Hillel the Elder; collected in the Talmud, Shabbat 31a.)

Doing the right thing for no other reason than it is the right thing to do. Having respect for the lives of others and doing your utmost to cause no harm. Treating others with the same kindness and consideration that you would expect for yourself.
