I do...
I don't know why people think you can't do that. You CAN support the troops and respect them without supporting the war and/or respecting Bush. I don't respect anyone who I think is a lying idiot.
When I hear someone say that they support the troops but not the war, I'm not offended. And my husband is over the right now.
I don't have to respect Bush just because he's the president. Bush is treating the war like a chess game. Its ok if a service member dies because he's got more to "play" with.
I'm with cantcu all the way.
Bring on the thumbs down, biatches.

Honestly, most troops could care less whether you support them or not. They are doing the job they volunteered to do and if they are bitching about it, then they need to learn how to read their contract better before they sign the next one.
To say that Bush caused this one is hilarious. Clinton, Bush 1, Reagan, Carter.....all of them contributed to this mess. Hell, Clinton pushed troops out of the military faster than all put together and he used the military all the time. The problem was he didn't know how to use them well.
Wars should be run by trained and educated military personnel and not CNN, newspapers, or the ignorant public who believe everything that is fed to them by the media. It certainly shouldn't be run by Congress. Hell, they can't even get a hooker without making the news. If you want to find out what is going on in the War on Terror, then talk to some that have been there. As for the people who say that the military doesn't support Bush or the war and site the Army Times polls, read the fine print. The poll was done at one base and with less than 1000 soldiers. Doesn't sound like they did a very good job of polling the masses to me.

This was is over oil, not Saddam, nor 9/11 or terrorist as they had nothing to do with it!
Interesting, Bush is back lying about the terrorist in Iraq. They weren't even formed until after we invaded Iraq!
Bush does not support the troops, never has!! Never will!
This war started the day 3 contracts for oil out of Iraq were taken from US oil companies and given to the French and Russians.
About 1/ 2 of Iraqi oil comes to the US, I know of 2 Tankers that make a monthly trip and pick up 4 million barrels!
By the way, when Bush took office gas was $1.46 a gallon!
Corporate welfare is making a lot of money these days as well, while they ( Ft Carson) are throwing 22,000 military out of the service for "Pre-existing Personality disorders" ( Now how do they know that?) when all have done at least one tour in Iraq, some 2 and many have Purple Hearts. Many were within 20 feet of a blast!
Isn't it great that we just throw them out so we don't have to pay them?
I don't think we need to attack any countries as none have attacked us! We do what the Brits did, we find them within a few days!
Janice you are all wet. Go Join and be sent to Iraq without the appropriate equipment and be used for target practice for 4 years! Screw Bush. More than 1/2 of the military does not support Bush or the war! And that is in the last poll done by the Army Times!
Lab, when your contract is up, and they make you stay, and they send you back to Iraq that is being forced!
No army should be used for corporate gain and doesn't have one damn thing to do with freedom!

The troops pay for our freedom with their blood. Bush gives it away too the Big money interests. The troops and Bushy are not the same thing. By the way...
Did anyone stop to think that maybe it is not such a bad idea to have an American army right next door to Iran and its wacko wannabe nuclear armed ruler Adolf Acemadinajab?

I agree to a certain extent. If we pull out of Iraq to go where they are needed more (Afghanistan), then the taliban babies will just flee to Iraq because they would have a safe-haven... Then they would be needed in Iraq again since that would become the biggest threat... So unfortunately the vicious circle of our politics continues....
I support the troops 100% though...
Amen Janice
Cantcu - Our forces dont have the proper equipment because our democrats are always cutting funding for our troops. So how can they replace broken equipment if the libs wont let them???

You support the troops? I don't think so. Every time you say something like this you are saying their job is not worth doing. How is that supporting the troops. Supporting the troops means supporting the job they are doing. It means telling them they are doing a good thing. It means showing respect for them and their families. You do not support the troops by cutting funding or by telling the enemy what you will be doing and when. Not support Bush, I could care less if you do not think he is right but we must still treat him with the respect he deserves as the President of the United States. I thought Clinton was the worse President ever but I never would have considered treating him as disrespectfully as people treat Bush. When will you all grow up and quit with the name calling.

War for Oil.... Now that is Demo-Socialist answer. Pure and simple. Stop them over there because many Americans who enjoy the freedoms we have yet are not willing to fight to keep that freedom. When the bombings start here on buses and trains and schools may just maybe the libs will start to understand,

i dont speak for the military...but i think the entire system is abit askew. from the millions of dollars the air force spends, not on new weapon systems, but to plant pretty flowers on their bases to the army not issuing out thousands pieces of body armor to the rear eschelon troops, because it wasnt cost effective, but those were some of the first casualties of course, the mechanics etc that wasnt important enough to waste the money to give them any protection...im wonder who infact supports the troops, hell the yellow ribbons they put up just benefit the company you bought the ribbon from, no one else......peace im out!
