We had a family BBQ this weekend and I did a lot of walking around with no shoes from indoors to outdoors. Lots of cooking and cleaning. I noticed a little pain when I walked on my foot and pressed down a certain way. My fiance' burned a stick pin and tried to pick it out. He could not see it but I could feel it when he brushed across it with the tweezers, trying to grasp it. No luck. He got tired (his eyes) and my foot was getting soar from the sticking with the stick pin. Please help. Thank you.

Just let it be. It will move through your blood vessel and out of your body. Happened to me once. I just let it be. 3 days later, no pain.

That is so irritating when you can't get it out.
Don't be too concerned if it has not come out yet. It will do one of two things:
1. Get red and form a pus pocket that will help remove it.
2. Form a small callus around it and you can remove the callus and usually the splinter will come out with it.

Try to use a sterilized needle if this happens. The needles are made of different materials than a pin. (I have been told, anyway, not to use a pin even if sterilized).

I hope you enjoyed the BBQ. The women always get stuck doing the cooking and cleaning.

Go to your doctors and let him/her take care of it. With all the pinning that has happened, your doctor may see a infection starting, and fix your foot before it becomes a lot worse.

You can try to lift it out with Scotch tape or some kind of sticky tape. Failing that, the body should work it out of the skin by itself at some point, but the wait can be annoying.

Get some medical help. They have the tools to remove it, and if there is any chance of infection, can give you an antibiotic.
