i manage a produce dept at a grocery so ive got a background on this one. the max we have a watermelon on the shelf is fourteen days and about a week anticipated shelf to the customer max after that. you dont need to worry about uncut refrig as long as its not unusually hot, but theyre kinda crappy warm so id recommend it.

It depends on how ripen the watermelon is (true for any kind of fruit). You can keep it out of fridge for a couple of weeks or even weeks, but out of sun , and in relatively cold place (basement for instance).

Around 12-14 days.

But it depends on how long it has been on the shelf..
