I know people do it during hurricanes & natural disasters. But is it generally safe or harmful if done all the time? Like canned ravioli or canned soup.

Yes, it is safe because canned food are pre-cooked (before raw materials are processed) and retorted (heated after the processed materials are placed inside the can).

Yes I have done that many many times without any problems...especially the ravioli! lol My husband is a truck driver & sometimes in the summer I will go with him. We are always in a hurry to get to his next pick-up or delivery & don't always have time to heat things up...so we eat straight out of a can alot...way more than I'd like to, but we've never had any trouble with it. ;o)

It is safe. I do not know if it used to NOT be or what because I know the general consensus used to be that it was not safe. The cans used to be made out of something else so perhaps it was unsafe at one time. However this seems very unlikely to me, because if we can pour food out of it and have it be OK then what is the difference from eating out of it????

I hope you are not without power.

Most of the time yes. However, after opening it needs to be in a different container cause it can poison with the food and tin being exposed

as long because it has no longer been opened and has been saved perfect, there is not any reason to heat it. bear in mind, even with the shown fact that, that the nutrition could desire to be taken out of the field till now feeding or, if fed from the field, leftovers could desire to be discarded after use.
