Seriously, if nothing else works, then you should shave everything off.. go for the bald look or a crew-cut look for a while. (Am not sure if that is accepted in your culture though. )make sure the scalp is thoroughly cleaned everyday so that when the hair re-grows the lice won't come back.

The old standby is Mayo, not olive oil! My doctor recommended lice shampoo when my kid got it. Worked great! The thing is, you have to treat everything, not just the kid. You must wash all bedding, clothes, coats, hats, etc in very hot water (or have them dry cleaned). Anything that can't be washed (such as mattresses) must be steam cleaned or sprayed with a lice-killing spray. Stuffed animals, etc, should be put into garbage bags and stored away for two weeks. The other thing is, you should comb out the nits using a special nit removing comb. All family members and their belongings, as well as shared areas, should be treated. It is a lot of work, but is the only way to be absolutely sure the problem is solved. After the first time, I made sure my daughter understood the importance of not sharing hats, combs, brushes, etc. with her friends. Prevention is the best medicine!

The medication will kill the lice but not the eggs so what you need to do is buy a fine tooth comb to get the loose bugs out of your hair then buy a medial nit comb which is the only thing that will get the eggs out of your head.First thing you need to do is run the fine tooth comb through your dry hair to get all the loose bugs out then wet your hair and run the nit comb through your head over and over again until every single nit is out then use the lice medication. Do that for once a week for two weeks and that will get read of your problem.

Here are a few methods to try.
Use a heavy conditioner or baby oil on your hair then use the lice comb to remove the lice. Do this at least twice a day.
If your hair is long (shoulder length or longer), you'll need to cut it down. (not shaved, just short). It will be easier to remove the eggs and lice.
Remove and toss all your bedding (pillow cases and sheets).
Don;t share hats, combs or anything that touches your head.

Boy do I understand what you are going through. I lived up in Idaho a few years back, and I swear they have Super bugs up there. I fought those darn things for 6 months with medicated shampoos, and just about everything they had on the market to get rid of them but they always came back.
Just when I was ready to shave my daughters long hair right off. A friend suggested that I use Pine-Sol on her hair, Yep. you got it, Pine Sol. she said to wash her hair with it and leave it on for a half hour and rinse it out, That it would kill them and their eggs.
you know what?
It worked. I never had a problem with head lice again. I am a true believer in Pine Sol to this day, I know that if it can kill them ugly things. then it does kill germs.. no doubt in my mind.
Hope this helps. cause it is one frustrating situation that I understand fully of what your going through.

you need to wash all your linens in a lice solution, cushion covers, any hats, hair brushes, hair bands, even towels, and do your hair again at the same time. Hopefully that will help. Do it for everyone in the house at the same time.

See your physician if Rid or one of the others does not work. Just remember that you have to spray all of your furniture, and wash all of your pillows and bedding. If you have children, you must do all of their hairs at once and all of the beddings and pillows.
You may have to do it more than once. My daughter had long hair, and was using another girl's brush. I had to do it 3 times before I realized from where she was getting it.

get someone to comb them out... you need a good fine-tooth metall comb, a bottle of thick conditioner. saturate hair with conditioner and get someone to comb thru, taking thin sections at a time. a thorough comb out takes on an average 2 hours. you need to do this 3-4 times before you can get rid of all of them.
