He didn't say they were the face of Muslims, just the Islamic face of the Palestinians. Still perhaps a little exagerated, but not implicating all of Islam.
I think it's really sad that Hamas is teaching hate and intolerance at such a vulnerable age; how can we even hope for peace in the future if kids are being taught from a young age to pursue "alternate means" with regards Israel? I know many people (too many in fact) think Israel also teaches its youngsters hate, but it's just not true. Nothing like that goes on here. I just don't see how anyone who actually believes in peace can support Hamas, be they Jew or Arab, Israeli or Palestinian. Hamas is simply paving the way of violence for all future generations.

EDIT: To respond to h below me:
I believe you are wrong with regards the example you bring of a Jewish textbook. Considering that that same area currently holds nearly 10 million people, I think it is completely fair to state that the land was empty when it contained only 500,000. Also, the book did say that Turks and Arabs were present, just not in large numbers. There are many other sources where Westerners visiting the Holy Land described it as empty and desolate in the same time period, including Mark Twain. It does not relegate those residents to invisible non-people, rather correctly states that the population density was rather low and the economy rather non-existant. As to your second point, as someone who has been through the religious school system I can tell you first hand that what you say is false. While it is true that most religious schools teach the religious significance of settling the land of Israel, very few state it to be an immovable ideology that cannot coexist with compromise. As such, I don't think that this minority of a minority (only 20% of Israel is religious, of which the small minority attend schools like these) can be fairly equated to the elected government that is Hamas.

I do not have to agree with every action taking by Hamas.

Why are you constantly picking on Arabs? Don't know what happend to your last question I answered. Before you critizese a TV show, why not being that fair to critize israeli school books, too?

A second-grade Israeli textbook used in both religious and secular schools says that the first Zionists found Palestine "deserted and empty with only Turks and Arabs sitting in it," thus relegating the 500,000 non-Jews living there in the late 19th Century to the caste of invisible non-people.

But it's edict, not illusion, in Israel's publicly financed but semi-autonomous religious schools. While the secular school system is required to stay above politics, the religious sector openly promotes Jewish settlement in the West Bank as a religious duty and describes education as "about ideology and not compromise."

One is as wrong as the other.

Take care

I used to think that hamas are a band of terrorists but now i know better. They are a band of thieves that are going to steal as much money as they can while in power so that they can run and retire in style in switzerland or wherever the ****.

But i dont think its nice from you to say this is the face if islam.....being an athiest i dont believe in religions and furthermore i find islam the one with the biggest contradictions but i respect it because when you respect a religion you respect its people. and when you show a nice side people will agree with you more than when you attack. am sure you agree.

and i second what the guy above me said...its sick to raise people this way on hate.

Hamas don't represent all Muslims, as Zionists don't represent all Jews.
Are you an example of Judaism's "prejudice"?

sigh
I should be surprised and disappointed, but I am not.

If anything I feel pity for those that feel they need to instill anger and hate into children in such ways.
