Man, I don't know, it sucks though. I think your body doesn't properly digest the food over the night while lying down, so maybe your stomach is a little upset until it does. Also when you are up at night, you are bored, feeling more insecure, and that insecurity causes you to seek comfort from food. Plus drinking alcohol causes me to eat mindlessly, and I only drink at night.

People often feel hungry at night for any of these reasons:

*Not eating enough during the day. People often skip breakfast, sometimes lunch too, and then pig out from early evening on. Even just skipping breakfast will often trigger night time binging. The weird think is that skipping breakfast, which leads to overeating at night, is a self-perpetuating cycle. You gorge late into the night, so when morning rolls around, you're not hungry because you ate so much the night before. So, you skip breakfast. The cycle begins again...

*Sleepiness often feels like hunger- the body says, "Give me sleep or give me some energy (food) so I can stay awake!" People will often crave sweets and carbs at night when all that their body really wants is sleep! So, next time you feel hungry at night even though you ate enough food throughout the day, try going to bed instead of hitting the fridge.

*Boredom, or habitual eating (especially in front of the T.V.) Sometimes we eat out of habit, or because we're bored. For a lot of people, night time is the only time they get to "relax", so they develop the habit of comforting themselves with tasty treats. Break the habit cycle by finding something else relaxing to do.

Basicly, if you overeat at night, you won't be hungry in the morning. As mentioned above, skipping breakfast leads to overeating at night in most cases.

I hope that helped to answer your question!

When you eat enough healthy food in the day, it is the other way round. You don't feel hungry at all, even in the night and you wake up in the morning feeling hungry, because you have fasted while you slept.

You eat a lot before you go to bed than you will not be hungry in the morning cause you will have a bunch of calories in your system. If you do not eat anything before you go to bed than you will be hungry in the morning because you sleep with a blanket to maintain heat in the body so you can burn calories.
