There are two women mentioned in the Book of Revelation. you should be more specific. I assume you are refering to chapter twelve.
The woman in chapter twelve is the Church of Jesus Christ/House of Israel, the bride of Christ who is bringing forth a child - the Kingdom of God.
the twelve stars on her head represent the Twelve Apostles at the head of the Church as representatives of Jesus Christ
The Sepent is the devil who made war with the Church and the Kingdom of God.
The woman/Church fled into the wilderness and was lost to the world for time the Lord ordained her to be hidden.
When the Church was lost the advesary had power over those of the saints who were left and waged war on them for several centuries.

She is a symbol of the whore of Babylon often translated to either be the actual woman who gives birth to the Antichrist (the child) or the country that the Antichrist originates from.

The woman is Israel. And the serpent is Satan. The child is Jesus. So you cannot make that vision into anything but a symbolic vision.

Genesis 3:15. I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.
It ties the entire story together.
