As of late, say within the last week, I and my daughter both caught my cat peeing right where she is laying it's also a favorite spot for her to lay back and chill,
Her litter box is always clean, I use the little that scoops up pee once it is peeed into the litter box,
it's the clumping scented one, in the jug,I haven't changed brands of any other kind of littler either, it's always been this kind for at least the last 6 yrs now. This pet has never done this before,And yet she was starring right at or in my face as she was squating or lifting up her tail to realease the unrine..
It was like she just didn't care,
can anyone give me any advice of why she could be doing this afterall she's always been a extra very clean ,clean Cat...and gone into her box to do her realeasing issue's.
Is there anything I can do at home first before taking her to the vets?

I am sorry to inform you that your cat may be losing control of its functions. You need to take her to the vet, and if your cat is 20 years old, be prepared for some bad news. Twenty years is a long time for a cat to live, so I hope you had good times together. Sorry. to hear about this, but it happened to a friend of mine's cat, which is why I think that is what might be happening.

If she has had the same litter for the past 6 yrs, and she's never done this before...it is a sign that there is some underlying health issue. She's a senior citizen so think diabetes, kidney disease...or even bladder stones or urinary tract infection. A cat of her years, with this type of problem, will get no relief from home remedies. She needs to be seen by the vet. If she's otherwise healthy for her age then the vet can do bloodwork and urinalysis and make a diagnoses and arrange for treatment if appropriate. Best of luck, hope your kitty feels better soon.

My cat is 17. She started peeing in her favorite place to lay when we got our new dog a few months ago. Older cats do not handle change and stress well at all. We took her to the vet and they did a variety of things, including putting her on 'kitty prozac' - which only worked for a month or so.
We ended up moving the cat to the upstairs part of the house and kept the dog downstairs. She hasnt peed on anything since, but now she is yeowling all night long - like shes in heat, but she's been fixed for years.
We are thinking she is going senile and may need to be put down. :(

Really, short of moving her litter box to her favorite locale, there isn't anything you can do for her at home.
She could have lost control of her bladder due to old age, she may have kidney problems or may just have arthritus that makes her never want to move again. Taking her to the vet is your best course of action, then if there is something seriosly wrong with her you can begin treatment and if not, the vet may be able to give some insite on her behavior.
Good luck!

First off, WOW! your cat is 20?????? my cat is only 7 and iw as afraid she was getting old and wont be with me in the next five years - this makes me happy to know that....- ahh enough about that let me try to help you out.
I dont think your cat is sick so why take her to the vet? When your cat is doing that you should quickly pick her up and take her to the litter box. Dont just sit there and show her that youre okay with it. She's doing it in fornt of you and for the past 6 years so obviously she is convinced that its okay.
Go through the whole litter box training procedure with her if you have to.
Be patient, you might have to pick her up and take her to the litter box many time over and over again. You might not even make it there on time but keep trying.
If she has a specific place she always does this then try getting the litter box closer there to help you out a bit.
I hope it works.

She's 20 years old? Take her to the vet as soon as you can get her in there, cats don't just pee where they're laying without a reason. She could have a urinary tract infection, a kidney problem, or something else wrong. So, take her to the vet as soon as possible.

Older cats tend to have kidney problems/kidney failure. Maybe it was just convenient to urinate where she usually lays. Try gently pushing on her underside (be careful not to hurt her!) and see if she has any sensitivity where her kidneys would be. She'll cry out if they're bothering her. And better yet, tell a vet about the problem and let them examine her.

Believe it or not she is trying to tell you that she might have a urinary infection or bladder, take her to the vet! you might try if you have a syringe available or get one from the vet they usually are free and suck up the urine that she puts in the middle of the floor in front of you . And put it in the frig till you can get it to the vet within 24 hr. and they can tell you if it an infection

That sounds like kidney problems, a very very common problem in older cats. Getting her to a vet is best.
