I read a person's answer to someone's question, and they said something to the affect that being on here isn't real. Well darn, then all the time, and emotional effort I spent asking and answering people's questions were a waste of my time...!!!??? Heck no.. this is real, I am real, my life and all the things I say are real. Because when I answer a question it is heart felt. I answer people's questions like they mean them.
On the other hand, there are people who ask questions that are not so serious, I still try to pull an effort..
Anyway, my question to you is, how many of you feel this way?

This venue is ABSOLUTELY REAL. Many many
folks have come and gone in the various categories. Yahoo! has spent a lot of time and money developing this forum since
December 2005.
The forum has caused the shedding of tears, great joy, a lot of fun for many folks, and has given many many answers to an
inordinate amount of questions. It is working with people who speak at 20 or 30 different languages. Friends have been made and backs have been stabbed.
Faiths are debated, students get help with homework,
recipes abound, and many people like myself are able to
amuse and entertain themselves in the wee hours of the night.
Auto mechanics and Mechanical Engineers have an open forum to debate the latest technological advances. A lot of medical advise, some good, some not, has helped thousands.
Folks like Jane Furrows have an unending and open forum to
explore her passion(boxing).
Judas Rabi, Richard, Renee, Kevin, and Raju have become
household words, and they have given info freely - especially
Raju and Flic(Jane Furrows) so often and so freely that we are
just full of gratitude.

They say that if you can answer all of the questions on Jeopardy for six months, that you are as smart as a Harvard Grad.

Well I suspect if you devote a half an hour a day to the more serious categories on this venue you too will be considered
a brain as well.

This venue is real. ABSOLUTELY REAL. And so are the people. BELIEVE IT

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The computer is a tool that real people can use to connect to other real people. Don't stop putting the effort into answering questions. We all learn from those answers, not the funny ones. Not that funny isn't good, too. But the ones with thought are the ones I truly seek after.

I agree with you. I have answered hundreds of questions, and I always try to help people. But I do see some of the questions try to hurt Christians, or gays, or Muslims, or others. What the heck? Most of the forum is legitimate, but when it comes to religion, there is pure hatred, and bad vibes. Some times I really want to know answers too.

If you people who don't have anything to contribute would just read, and not write on here, that would be a positive thing. I'm not against good argument, I am against trash talk, and disrespect.

Well, answering YAHOO answers ( or questions) is a real activity. And some people are looking for real answers.
It is good to give them your best information.

On the other hand, this is not the same as interacting with your friends, because these interactions are kind of shallow.

Curiously, real can mean different things to different people.

I always make an effort to answer questions. Even some that are asked just to be controversial. It is good practice. I like doing this, it makes me think and put my ideas down in a cohesive, persuasive way.

"Anyway, my question to you is, how many of you feel this way?"

You are not clear in presenting your question. You give both sides of the story and then do not NAIL DOWN THE QUESTION.

Suggestion. Should read >>>

"Anyway, my question to you is, how many of you feel that being on here isn't real ?"

( leave no room for misinterpretation )

for the most part people on here are not real they are pretentious little.... well whatever you want call them that get on here and spout their opinions because in the real real world they know that their opinions doesn't mean a damned thing to anyone but them.they come on here and try to belittle your beliefs and feelings just to make themselves feel like they somehow matter.not everyone but 90% of the people

I think that people are more honest here than they would be in real life. I know the same wouldn't apply to a single's forum, though.

properly, i in my view think of that females would desire to each from time to time ask boys out, in basic terms reason i'm a guy and dont have the heart to ask them out myself. yet i think of why lots of the adult adult males are frightened approximately asking is approximately what unusual rumours would be around as quickly as he asks. each from time to time it helps if the lady asks, it incredibly is going to provide the boy a splash vanity.
