what i would do is sink it under hot water, so you can get it clean first, the hot water will also allow your muscles to relax, after that you might want to give it another try, or even give your nail a closer cut, not too close, but just enough for you to get a better view of the splinter, hope this helps.

Yup. Take a warm bowl of water and add a few teaspoons of salt. Soak your finger for 15+ minutes. Pat dry, and try to remove by squeezing up toward the tip of the nail. If that doesn't help, take a bit of Elmers glue, and squeeze it under the nail. Let it dry, and in the morning, peel back. The splinter should be on the glue!

I would say as did one of the other posters try a needle. Whenever I've had a splinter that's what I found worked best. If not out in a couple more days I would recommend seeing a doctor for further evaluation.

Soak it in warm water for a couple minutes (say 10?) each day, wood works its way out of skin so in a week or so it'll be ok.

You could try soaking the finger in warm water and removing it with tweezers? I hope you find some way to get it out! It sounds painful.

try a needle. If not, after a day or so it will infect which will work like lubricant and you just have to push it out!! don't let it be there for too long though.

It will eventually push it's way out; your body will reject it. Otherwise a pair of tweezers can get it out, but it hurts, so you may want to have someone else help you.

There is some cream you can buy at the pharmacist, which helps to pull it out. Sorry can't remember the name of it but your pharmacist will know.

Well you can try tieing something tight onto your finger to numb it, and bite on to something then get someone to pull it out with tweezers for you.
