I don't know how old your are but have you mentioned the pains to your parents? If not, you should. It could be nothing or it may be something that requires a doctor's attention.

Puberty can last for about 5 years. As for the pain on the left side of your body near the hip, sometimes doing an exercise we haven't done before can cause a pain to occur because the body is not used to doing that exercise. Also, sometimes certain positions if we stay in them for a long time can cause pain.
Please keep an eye on the pain to see if weather makes it worse too because certain joint problems can cause pain in that area.

First of all, don't worry about your appendix, spleen, or kidneys. Pain from appendicitis is felt in the mid to upper right quadrant of the abdomen. Renal [kidney] pain is felt in the flank, which is actually on the outside areas of your back. Pain in your left lower quadrant of your abdomen is most commonly pain from your colon, or lower intestine, if you're having any bowel movement abnormalities, it can hurt, and quite bad. Colon pain is usually felt almost directly above the left hip bone, and can be anywhere from extremely sharp to just a dull ache. If it continues, I would take a trip in to see your doctor. But don't waste time worrying about it; this type of pain is pretty common, and experienced by almost everyone quite a bit of the time. If it keeps bothering you, taking a trip to see yoru doctor will never hurt! It's better to be safe than sorry. Best of luck!

Your description is really generic- There's no way to know exactly what you're talking about. If the pain is consistent, or very painful, call 911 or go to the ER.

How old are you? Could be growing pains... I forget which side your appendix hurts on but if the pain gets worse, I would suspect that.

Is the pain very sharp? Then it could be appendicitis. If the pain reaches a crescendo then it could be cramps. I hope the doctor can help you.

i dont know what it is but most likely its not appendicitis i already had mine removed and all of my stomach hurt so bad i didnt want to move. plus your appendix is on the right side so that wouldnt explain just your left side hurting.

Maybe your appendix burst. But it could be growing pains or something like that depending on how old you are.

It's probably just a muscle spasm. Or growing pains, if you're going through puberty.
