Christ is no threat to me, nor is the religion of Christianity. What I feel threatened by is people who use Christianity to condone the hatred or condemnation of a group of people or try to force their beliefs down my throat. Why are so many Christians threatened by others who chose to have different beliefs? Also the Christians who believe there should be no separation of church and state yet rail against governments that force their Muslim laws on the general populace really astound me.
Edit- I also feel threatened by a religion that would condone calling its kids to war such as The Call in Nashville did.
exact quote from the article "A DREAM: The Call to Protect a Generation and Teach Them How to War!" That seems a little threatening to me.

It doesn't threaten me physically, but incorporating it into our government threatens my freedom. I am a moral person. If Christianity happens to coincide with my morals that's cool. But the goverment has no business representing it. They have no business putting it in schools (the pledge of alliegance)- that takes away my childrens freedom to leave their religious beliefs at home and just be like every other kid there.
Now the fact that many Christians take the Bible to literally mean no other belief can bring you close to the devine threatens my family relationships. Many members of my family believe I will go to hell (which I don't believe in) if I don't convert.
This has caused many arguments, and we are not as close as we otherwise would be. This religion has actually really hurt the closeness of my family, and so I feel it is a threat.
If it didn't teach the whole saved/unsaved hell part it wouldn't be an issue as far as I'm concerned. Without that my family wouldn't mind me believing differently so much, because they wouldn't have to worry about the eternal fate of my soul.
It is in the nature of the religion though (those sects that believe the whole eternam damnation thing, which are most) to tear families apart, and to stir disrespect for alternate beliefs, and that is my problem with it.

Like the other person said, Christianity is no threat to my life. However, some of the people who call themselves Christians haven't quite grasped the whole "Love thy neighbors as yourself" thing, and try converting people with baseball bats.

It causes me to have to live a life surrounded by self-righteous, sanctimonious, hypocritical, morons. The specifics of how they intrude on decent and moral human beings is well documented and I don't feel inclined to reiterate all of the ways in a post. The answer is better laid out in a book.

You know, it's not. Not really. I came to the realization today, that really in the end, for being an atheist all you can do to me is reject me and tell me I'm going to hell. If that's the best you can do, then you are really inconsequential to me. Today I even thought that maybe it's time for me to leave here.

They're upsetting the Muslims, who retaliate by blowing up what they think may be Christians without concern for the occasional atheist that gets whacked by mistake.

It's not a threat to me; it's a blessing.
But I'm Christian, so perhaps this question isn't directed at me.

It isn't a threat to me, I consider it an affliction to others. Like schizophrenia, except more people have it.
