It will help you to understand much of the sciences.
It will help you to understand philosophy
Its structure will help you to train yourself on how to think logically
It will give you the advantage on most other languages that have taken a major/minor part of their own words from Greek
You have to wonder
How come a people that naturally speak it who number at best 20,000,000 out of the worlds population through their history managed to accomplish so much in so many fields including the concept of Democracy .
Better yourself and learn Greek

Why shouldn't you?
Greek is beautiful language, Greek culture is rich and famous.
You would learn modern greek, of course, which is also very heavy.
Believe it or not, it can be useful in many ways. Many words in modern languages, including english, originate from greek language. Words like: history, telephone, fantastic, phobia, even discotheque and many many more that you use every day are greek actually. Names for branches of medical science (paediatrics, psychiatry, etc), names for almost all sciences in general (biology, geography, philosophy, etc), names for almost all phobias (agoraphobia, arachnophobia, etc) they are all greek. Also names for diseases, for general abstract words that I can't even think of now, all in greek.
So greek is useful for your general culture and education, and I can recommend to all to learn greek language.
