Marine officers command the soldiers when to attack in war and they act as administrative officers when inside camps.

The officers I worked with didn't do sh*t except for make our lives miserable because some higher ranking officer was making their life miserable. At my last command I worked directly for 4 LtCols, 2 Majs, and 3 Capts. For the most part, because we had a 2 star General in charge of the command, they worked just like us enlisted folks did. Didn't help that there were more officers than enlisted.

But yes, they have MOSs...the abovementioned were all 02xxs...intel officers. Some of them saw action, most sat behind a desk. It all depends on their field as to what they do and where they go.

Don't worry about what Marine officers do: stay out of the Marines.
