Is it possible to retro-fit a cigar lighter to an Escort and how hard is it?

You can buy them at auto parts stores. It is easy to install. Pick a location and drill out the hole. Put the base of the lighter through it and screw on the nut to hold it. If the location is metal then that will be your ground. You will need to connect the wire to a suitable power supply. Try and find a 30A source. You can also butt splice an inline fuse to protect the wiring. good luck.

yes.go to any auto parts store or auto salvage yard and purchase one.pick a location drill a hole and install it.make sure you use a heavy gage wire or you will have a fire.if you are not sure of what you are doing take it to a mechanic.

Yes it is very easy to do, so long as you use a thick power wire with a strong fuse.

simple, the wiring is in place even when there isnt one fitted from new, best to get a genuine ford one, much easier to fit, they have full instructions with them as well...

the wires are already there, and the hole premade... couldn't be easier. happy fitting.
