Those before Muhammad could trust the prophesies of the propets that the Messiah would atone for sin. The Qu'ran rejects the atonement...Which leaves this question.

Sada The Qu'ran does not only deny the true word of Jesus but also of all the prophets...How about Isaiah? Why would the Qu'ran deny the words of Jesus and call him the Word of God?

Sada the Qu'ran does call Jesus the Messiah what makes him the Messiah and not simply a prophet? Chrsitians and Jews believe the Messiah would fufilll the prophsies of the Messiah...If the Qu'ran says no atonement. and has no prophsies fo what the Messiah came for other than to be a prophet..Why a Messiah?

Jesus surely must ahve fufilled the propesy if he was the Messiah.

And the Last Messenger or Last Prophet is Muhammad(pbuh) is given the Title "Rasulullah"
But Jesus is Messiah because....???
We know that those thousands of years beofre Jesus were waiting for a Messiah and the propets fortold of this Messiah. So all before Muhammad knew what the Messiah would do to fufill these prophsies...If the Qu'ran calls Jesus Messiah it should tell what makes Jesus The Messiah. If not we are left with the propesies of Messiah and Muhammad did not agree with them. Isaiah said the Messiah would atone for sin... If Jesus did not fufill the prophsey of Messiah what makes him the Messiah?

Humble first..You say that Jesus fufilled the law and I agree...How would you supose the law is fufilled if you are still under the law? Jesus did fufill the law in the way the Messiah was prophsied to fufill the law with his blood. If through the law man sinned then the penalty of the law must be paid Isiaah clearly shows the Messiiah would atone for sin with his blood ...Jesus agreed...Read Luke where Jesus quotes Isaiah 53 and says he must fufill this prophesy...In order to fufill the law one would have to pay the penalty of the law and you are correct Jesus did fufill the law and the propesies of the Messiah.

You also stated Jesus was raised up rather than crucified because he was the only prophet believed to be God by his followers...The Qu'ran also says the Jews believed Ezra was a Son of God...though we know the Jews do not believe this none the less wouldn't Ezra be taken up and returned also to say that he also is not God? Does this mean Ezra is The Messiah?

I understand that muslism believ Jesus is the Messiah because the Qu'ran tells them he was the Messiah...my problem is that the Quran does not tell you what it means to be the Messiah... as far as teh teachings of the Quran goes Jesus neednt be Messiah but merely a prophet of God...their si no explanationa s to what the Messiah woudl do...Yes the Old Testament tells us that the Messiah would be born of a virgin he would be Immanuel which means God with us...he would come from the house of David...
The Blind would see and the deaf would hear...The lame would leap...Isaiah
The Messiah would be as a lamb lead to slaughter
The Messiah would atone for sin with his death.

Sternchen...Exactly God's people were promised a Messiah and the prophets foretold of the importance of the Messiah above that of mere prophets. If the Messiah was a mere prophet there would be no reason to call him the Messiah he had a purpose greater than the prophets and this purpose was fortold by the prophets. The Qu'ran tells Jesus is the Messiah and clearly could not have known the prophesies of the Messiah which would be unusual that God did not know why we needed a Messiah?...Or why we awaited a Messiah...Why would Allah not know of the prophesies of a Messiah that would atone for sin when these prophsies were thousands of years before the Qu'ran was written? Wouldnt Alalh have said these prophsies were wrong reather than calling Jesus the Messiah?
If Allah is all knowing than surely he knew of the prophsies of Messiah that he would atone for sin. Why no explanation unless the writer of the Qu'ran had not understood the prophesies of the coming Messiah.

Although the Quran, does refer to a Maseh, its meaning is lost in the Quran. Nowhere is the word explained in the Quran of what it is or means. Therefore, Jesus is put in doubt, as to who he really is. Not only is it not explained in the Quran, but, worse, as obviously, Allah does not seem even to know the meaning of Maseh. So, it is obvious, this Allah does not have an inkling of the word, ‘Maseh’ and thought it was a name.
. Allah mentioned in a number of sura as Isa the Maseh, confirming this Isa as the Messiah. 2. But, in sura 3:45 Allah says his name is the Maseh {Al Maseh}. One time it's a title, then again his name..
In sura 5:75, Allah says he is “the Maseh”, and then goes on to say that Isa is an ordinary messenger. If he is an ordinary messenger then he cannot be the Maseh.
‘the Maseh’ in Arabic means, ‘The Messiah’ {Al Maseh}. So obviously, Allah is referring to a Messiah. In Hebrew, it is spelt as ‘Mashiah’. It means the ‘Anointed One’ {or Christ} – It is more than just a prophet. None of the prophets were ever given such a high recognition. Descriptions of his importance are many in the Bible. Various prophesies told, over a 1,000 years, of the coming of the Messiah, and has been recorded, but, missing in the Quran. The Messiah was also mentioned thirty nine times in the Old Testament alone, before his coming. This shows the importance of the Messiah, as the world was waiting of a Messiah, for a 1,000 years.
No Muslim can explain why Jesus has this Title in the Quran.

on Jesus being the Messiah . In which complements & verifies the Holy Bibles teachings in this as well . For if you
do not have the Holy Spirit dwell in you , then you are blind
with out understanding of the smallest details . You by Gods
Grace are doing good work thus far in this area . Thank You
for your perseverance . I have read the Quran years ago &
did not give it a second thought . But now following some of
your discussions has me cross reference the Quran & Holy
Bible in doing so . I find it hard that the followers of the Quran
can not see the simple truth in what you have brought to their
attention . I also see what God meant by the harding of ones
Heart and rejecting truth . Which brings separation from God
& all the teachings that follow in doing that as well . It is self evident as 2+2=4 . May God Bless you fully in this , amen......

Jesus is the Messiah (Isa al Masih) in keeping with the qur'an. But there's no enormous which means of atoning the sin within the phrase messiah. Messiah got here from the phrase masaha because of this to rub or to anoint. The bible evidently states that the phrase or name MESSIAH may also be carried out to a pillar (learn the bible in hebrew please) genesis 31:thirteen; to a tabernacle leviticus eight:10; to a horn one million samuel two:10 or even the pagan king Cyrus was once referred to as a messiah isaiah forty five:one million. Where on this planet and the scripture that it says the messiah will atone the sector of its sins? And if there may be, what or who is that this? A pillar? A tabernacle? Cyrus? The educating of the church, or the congregation you belong to quite often occasions take biblical educating in keeping with their OWN INTERPRETATIONS. Why now not learn the bible straight? Why now not learn it in Hebrew or Greek? Why now not learn the specific bible types? Muslims don't take the english translation of the qur'an because the qur'an considering the fact that there are lots of situations that translating a booklet to yet another takes away the soul of that booklet. So we learn and nonetheless maintain the arabic qur'an. Whatever errors the translations can have, no fear considering the fact that now we have the fashioned arabic. But what approximately your bible? How are you able to be certain that what you're studying in english is the identical with the fashioned?Oh sorry...Bible students will let us know that there are NO BIBLE ORIGINALS LEFT. So how do you confirm that is fashioned and now not if the fashioned is misplaced? We consider in Jesus because the Messiah, the anointed one, the prohet of satisfactory quality. But we do not consider that he was once to atone us of our sins.Even the bible you're utilizing is apparent on this: learn Ezekiel 18:20-21. No in which within the bible it says that the name messiah approach atoner of sins.

So God can say truthfully that no new prophet will come after Muhamad (pbuh). Also because God promised that "every soul shall taste death" and be judged for their life. Because we don't believe Jesus ever died, well...that makes him the perfect candidate for the Messiah right?
Besides for the rapture and the end of the world etc. someone needs to be on the side of truth...ya. I hope (or maybe I shouldn't) I get to live to see the epic times ahead!

DJ, 1+1+1=3 not 1, very simple why you are confuse and trying to believe others to say 1+1+1=1.
I think " Humble " is right you looks confused as today’s Bible has lots of contradictions in it ( I am not talking about original scriptures, Taurah, and Injeel ), like today’s Bible iS confused, who is first born of Prophet Abraham, Second wife of Prophet Abraham is wife or not, lots of dirty allegations to Holy Prophets ( May God forgive me saying those things, or even thinking those things about Holy Prophets). refer your todays versions of Old Testaments and new Testaments.
Muslim believe all Prophet of God are sinless, yes may be they did some mistakes but they corrected quickly either by the instructions given by Almighty, or asking forgiveness from God Almighty, and God Almighty granted them.

First of all Islam is a Government of HATE and TERROR, they want to KILL EVERYONE that is not Islamic! Islam is based on the Lie of Muhammad, he was demon inspired, self confessed by Muhammad himself. His wife kept after him and finally convinced him it was The Angel Gabriel and not Demons. He then went on a killing spree rounding up more murderers to help him terrorize other villages. He destroyed a temple with 360 Idols (Gods) inside, he then destroyed all of them except the Idol "HIS" Village worshipped, the "MOON GOD" Allah! This is NOT he God of Abraham. Muhammad was a "Self-Appoined Prophet "as he always wanted to establish his own religion and be it'ss leader. You see, GOD appoints Prophets not man. There for Jesus was just another Prophet.

Dear Bro, hope this will help.
Messiah is a Title, given to Iesa (Jesus)pbuh, and a Prophet which means "Messenger" is the One whom Allah selected to be his Messenger on Earth. So Iesa (Jesus)pbuh is a Prophet whom have the Title Messiah given to him.
You can ask any Muslim's you meet and ask them who is the Messiah, and they will tell in an instance that it is Iesa (Jesus)pbuh cause no other Prophets are given this Title.
Another one is, Ibrahim(Abraham) pbuh is know as The "Father of the Prophet's" cause most of the prophets are directly decendants from him.
And the Last Messenger or Last Prophet is Muhammad(pbuh) is given the Title "Rasulullah"
Below is a verse regarding Iesa (Jesus)pbuh the Messiah.
Quran (AlMaidah 05:75)
The MESSIAH ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddiqah They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while Allah does not eat). Look how We make the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth).

[Quran 36:22-36:27
"And why should I not worship Him (Allah Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned. "Shall I take besides Him aliha (gods), if the Most Beneficent (Allah intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me? "Then verily, I should be in plain error. "Verily! I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!" It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): "Enter Paradise." He said: "Would that my people knew! "That my Lord (Allah) has forgiven me, and made me of the honoured ones!"]

Dear Bro, hope this will answer your question
You ask "If the Qu'ran calls Jesus Messiah it should tell what makes Jesus The Messiah" . Let me try to understand this question, you are asking me That the Quran must fullfill or contains verses or prophecy like in the (OT or Torah) the coming of the Messiah, and to tie the connection to Jesus(pbuh) in order to acknowledge him the title as a Messiah. am i right? Let me give you answer, you see the Quran is not written by Men inspired by God,
Allah(swt) is the author of the Quran and Allah Wills if He wish to call Jesus as the Messiah, it is His Will. Let me point you the verse in the Quran when Jesus (pbuh) got this Title.
(Quran 03:45)
(Remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word ["Be!" - and he was! i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the MESSIAH 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allah."
We no need to have the prophecies that make Jesus(pbuh) a Messiah like in the current OT or the Torah, The Quran have already inform us which Prophet have the Title Messiah given to Him.
I ask you now, the OT or the Torah have prophecies regarding the coming Jesus(pbuh) as the Messiah right? Then why did'nt the Jews accept him as their Messiah? eventhough it coming from their own Scriptures.
and i ask you now , How we Muslim knows that Jesus(pbuh) is the Messiah to his people(Jews).
Quran 03:49
And will make him ['Iesa (JESUS)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allah's Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe.
Is there verses in the Torah Jews Scriptures prophecies the miracles of the Messiah?

Porpose of sending Prophet Jesus (pbuh), in His own words:
" I am not here to abolish the laws of Moses(pbuh), but to to confirm them and fullfill them "
" I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword "
Full quatation:
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 10:34-39 NASB)
KJV
"49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! 51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. (Luke 12:49-53)
words attributed to Jesus Christ (pbuh) in the Bible:
"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” [The Bible, Mathew 7:22-24]
Allah mentions the second coming of Jesus Christ (pbuh) in the following verse of the Qur'an:
“And indeed, he (i.e. Jesus) will be (a sign for) knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path.” (Al-Qur'an 43:61)
The reason why Jesus (pbuh) is the only Prophet of Allah who was raised up alive by Allah is because he was the only Prophet whose “followers” mistook him as God. They wrongly say that he claimed divinity. Thus he will come back again to this world to clarify all such misconceptions. Says Allah in the Qur'an:
‘And behold! Allah will say "O Jesus the son of Mary! did you say unto men worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah"? He will say: "Glory to You! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing you would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart though I know not what is in yours. For You know in full all that is hidden.’ (Al-Qur'an 5:116)
Peace :)
Dear " djmantx "
Don't be confused and comeout of words Jargons, do not just move withen words game, it very simple Jesus (pbuh) is not Son of God, but a mighty Prophet of God. He did his job properly and that is why He was a Prophet, if He does not perform well as God wanted He would not be selected as Holy Prophet.
You are confused as you areconfused :
God is One or two or three, or three in one, seperate or son and father are one or seperate, so be make your self very clear, Prophet Jesus was a Mighty Prophet of God Almighty, and God Almighty will send Him back again before last days.
And by the way today's Jews do not believe any Prophet as Son of God ( Just for your information,if I am wrong please correct me ).
1400 years back no one new where is the body of Pharaoh and how we can see but Qura'n mentioned Allah made body of Pharaoh a lesson for humanity, now we found His body in Egypt and it is proven that death of this body was dew to drowning in water.
So many things you do not know but Qura'n mentioned somesigns, so with the passage of time you will know insha Allah, so do not say this thing as mentioned wrong in Qura'n. It is your limitations. Do not blame Qura'n.
I clearly quoted purpose of Jesus coming to this world as mentioned in today’s Bible, there is no room for if / buts, this is like that and that is like this.
Again Holy Prophet Jesus is a mighty Prophet of God Almighty, and will come back before Last days inshAllah.
May God Almighty give us wisdom to accept truth instead of engaging our selves in fruitless arguments and discussions, Amen.
