Stop involving them. Most people talk to their family members about their problems and then wonder why they "butt in". Don't even dis-CUSS your life with them and this might be the first clue to them that you aren't interested in their input.

Whenever they do offer advice, say, "Thank you very much for your opinion, " then live your life.

If you are a juvenile....you can't.
You come across as being young.

If you are of majority........tell them and then ignore them.
It's not like they have a ball and chain attached. or some magic potion on you.

Now if they are butting in because they loan you money. Expect it, as part of the consideration given. comes with the territory. Otherwise stop taking favors from them.

Family is just that. that's why it's called "family" familiar.
Be glad they care enough, but draw a line in the sand and give them some slack........as you grow, you'll be their age and you will cherish the love and respect of what they are going through, that you can't understand right now.

It is hard to focus on how to handle parenting responsiblities when everyone has their 2-cents to add, here's my advice, tried it myself, you can't stop them from butting in, they only see themselves as trying to help, you can however, evaluate what it is they're telling you, filter out what isn't helpful or true for you, and take the suggestions that make sense or give good, reasonable, and, or sound guidance! Opinions are like ...well you know, and its not a box of chocolates, although, that might be a better metaphor, and yeah, lets go with that, you pick out what tastes good to you and leave the rest for someone else who has different taste!

That depends on your age. If you are living at home, good luck! They have a say because you are under their roof.

If you are on your own and not dependent on them at all, you can either tell them to butt out or just politely listen to what they have to say and do what you want anyway. If you are having problems in your life they are just concerned and giving you advice. If they are just rude, causing problems for you, and are hard to deal with, and you don't live with or rely on them, tell them.
