Do you think a 13 year old girl should get a navel piercing????????????
because my grandmother will take me and my parents are okay with it but some people say its slutty and stuff so what do u think????????

It's good that you're not getting this piercing behind your parents' wishes or anything.
But if you're having second thoughts and worrying about what other people will think, maybe you should think twice about getting one, especially at your age. I'm not even gonna go into the whole peer pressure thing. The process seems to be painful, and even if you stop using the piercing, you'll be left with a hole.
And no, it's not really like getting your ears pierced, because, maybe blame it on society, but showing your midriff still hasn't really come on par with showing your ears yet. I'm sorry if I start to sound biased, but yeah, like what others have said above, it's sexy...for now. Then imagine after you've reached middle age, with your belly ring (if you still have it). Would it still be sexy? I mean, how long can you show off your belly and be sexy for? Maybe 10 years. Hopefully you won't still be walking around with your ring in view after college. This may be stereotyping, but a lot (not all, a lot) of people who have their navel pierced aren't in particularly professional careers. People usually don't associate navel pierces with CEOs. I mean, if you have high aspirations, I don't think having a navel piercing will be highly regarded in companies. Think about yourself 10 or 20 years later and where you see yourself with your piercing. If you think you'll be fine with it, then go ahead.
I'm just trying to talk you out of getting the piercing, but it's your life, and your own decision. After all, you are young (although a bit too young for this piercing), and should live the moment! Just don't make decisions you'll regret in the future, especially if you have the ability to choose carefully now.

I am 13 years of age and I have my belly button pierced, and my family was totally cool with except I had to make a deal with them. But i do not see how pretty much all of the people who answered the question thinks its so slutty??!! Its just a way of kinda expressing your woman hood, it makes you feel you know like your all grown up, the only way it would be slutty is if you were a striper or something. I think it is totally aight to get it at this age, and so do many of my friends! Oh and if any of you want one it doesnt hurt at all, just relax when you go to the shop, dont freak out, it makes it worse!! just a heads up...... later you all

I wanted it done when I was 12, waited for a year, still wanted it...I got it for myself and no one else. People only really saw it when I was in a bikini or when I would stretch or something and my top would go up slightly, I think it can defo look slutty on the girls who strut around wearing little belly tops and mini skirts trying desperatly to show it off...but if you get a nice bar or ring and only show it every once in a while 1/ the novelty doesn't wear off and 2/ you don't get labelled. Having said that, I don't think you should really give a damn what other people think...it's your body, if you think it will look good, go for it! I dont regret mine!

i don't think it's a good idea, at least not at ur age. depending on where you live a lot of places will probably require that you are 18 to do a piercing like that anyway.
i think wait until you're at least 16 or 17 (if there isn't a legal age requirement). if you still want it in a couple of years then go for it.

a 13 yr old should not have a navel piercing. a 13 yr old should not be SHOWING her belly button. that's why they made the age laws. wait until you are old enough to legally do it on your own. what kind of grandmother do you have??

I think it's ok. But don't show it off all the time wearing small shirts and stuff. You're family are letting you , so go for it =D

i know how you feel.. i want mine pierced too. im 13. my mom knows i want one. not too sure about my dad tho. i just dont know like the age requirement. and its not slutty.

no. at 13 you can still grow a lot and if you have a belly ring it will get all messed up when you grow. anyways you're still a little girl.
