i love wonderwall by Oasis. On the other hand green day has come up with ok songs...so definitively Oasis

Greenday. As a musician I can say that Greenday have obviously spent a lot more time learning to play their instruments and write some catchy songs. Oasis are as technically talented as the local group of 17 year olds who just started a band. They have some catchy songs as well but seem to repeat the same style over and over. They aren't very progressive hence the fact that their fan base deteriorated over night years ago. They will always have there fans but to me it's like comparing Status Quo to the rolling stones. There is no comparison.

Oasis had the better hits. Not to mention more songsthat I can listen to over and over. But Greenday has been around alot more do to the Galagers being at each others necks. Oasis is my winner.

I love both for different reasons. I grew up around both of them being huge. Green Day makes me happy when I want something upbeat, energetic, anarchistic even. Good hard guitar (most of the time), blatant lyrics, just upfront music. Oasis is much more mellow, more for the lyrics, more Bohemian. More melodies, blended instrumentals, and symbolism. They're in completely different classes from eachother, and it'd be like comparing Pink Floyd to Metallica.

In musical aspect, they are both good musicians and song writers. But when it comes to durability, Green Day is in. Up to now they are still releasing albums, singles and doing collaboration with other artists/bands. That cannot be said of Oasis. And where are the Gallager brothers nowadays?

oasis are a good band with a handful of classics behind them,but they will never write another "wonderwall" or "some might say".as for green day they are a very good all round band,they;ve been around for ages and the best bands get better and bigger along the way.i dont think we have seen the best of green day yet.

green day!!!!! oasis are just beatles wannabees! i know greenday can come across as being a bit like THE CLASH but they do put their own twist on things too oasis are just rubbish!

can't really dis greenday as they've had a few somewhat decent songs out recently, but i have to be loyal so OASIS get my vote hands down....
