Took me more or less a month to get mine. But thats because i was already gifted with a low body fat %. Remember that muscles are always covered by fat, so the most important thing is to do cardio if you have a high body fat %.

It shouldn't take long, I'd say a few months. I know it's a vague answer, but everybody's body is different. My own personal experience, I did 100 crunches every night, and yoga and/or DDR (dance dance revolution, if you aren't familiar with it) and I'd say in less than a year I went from pudgy to being very thin. I don't have a six-pack or anything, but I'd say looking at what you're planning to do, you probably would, in the same time frame. :P

replace all the crunches with running because to see a six pack you have to lower your body fat percentage -believe me - we all have six packs except they are mostly hidden underneath the layer of fat on our bellies. and since we cant spot reduce body fat naturally the only way to go is cardio (the only fat burning exercise) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min a day.
doing crunches twice a week is more than enough.
dont forget you have to eat 5-6 small meals a day.

Actually, jackknives work your abs the best. You can do them on the floor, it's just really hard to do. Seek quality of exercise instead repetition of near useless ones. To hit your obliques, you can just twist while doing jackknives.
There are also many variations of sit-ups and leg raises that make crunches obsolete.

Also, according to a Men's Health issue, 5 minutes of non-stop calisthenics (push-ups, sit-ups, squats, etc.) gives the same cardio/weight loss benefit of a 30 minute bike ride. Straight cardio actually makes you lose both muscle and fat weight. Calisthenics strengthens and builds muscle, plus burns fat.

Congrats on the burden help! that's going to take a while before you spot the transformations from the crunches, notwithstanding it does artwork, I lost very almost 5 inches off my waist and hips from doing crunches quite a few cases an afternoon. working on your treadmill or purely going for a protracted walk some cases a week will relatively assist you to get into shape throughout. stable success!
