Are there gaps pertaining to religiously bias materials in our TV and printed media standards that ought to be evaluated and perhaps even acted upon as new inclusions to our existing child protection laws?

Your thoughts please.

Read the Bible and get God's thoughts about things.
2 Timothy 3:16, 17 says "All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."

If you were Satan what would you use to deceive. Wouldn't it be religion. And one better - the respected mainstream religions. It's false religions fault that people can be deceived so easily. Religion that claims to be the truth should be teaching their flock.
John 4:23, 24 says God wants his worshipers to worship in spirit and truth. The only way we can know if the truth is told to us by religions is read the Bible.
If the Bible says don't do a certain act but the religions are saying it's okay then they're doing the brainwashing. God does not change. His standards are forever.Malachi 3:6

An example: 1 Corinthians 6:9,10

A true Christian can not be brainwashed for they know how Satan works and have the complete suit of spiritual armor on. Ephesians 6:10-18

everyone has the right to freedom of speech...as wellas freedom "of" religion. Freedom OF religion means to me...freedom FROM religion...mainly yours... Religion to me is a very private thing. I believe what I believe and NOTHING you, or anyone else has to say will EVER influence what I believe. You can believe whatever you like...I could care less. true enlightenment...I believe... is knowing that the eternal argument over religion is neither worth the time...nor the breath and effort it takes to formulate a sentence for the argument because there is always some Yahoo out there thats going to disagree with you no matter what. It just seems silly to me to partake in all the hair pulling and jumping about, arguing over who has the best imaginary friend.
teach your children the the wonderful gift of choice, present all the options and allow them to become their own person, let them make their own mistakes, and be there for them when they stumble and fall...like any decent, good, careing parent should. Above all, dont try to live vicariously through your children. Its their life...live your own.

Public schools are doing a pretty good job of brainwashing children against God. Add the media bias against God and most gaps are closed.

I suppose you could just murder all Christian parents. That's what's suggested by the other side:

John 8:44
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
(from New International Version)

John 10:8-10
9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
(from New International Version)

This has been an issue of various churches and organizations for a long time, and certainly can't be answered concisely enough in this format.

However, we need to consider the "wholeness" of the formation of a person.

Children don't need to be confused by various indoctrinations when understanding and unity with their family is most valuable.

Later, however, as they age, they need to understand various perspectives to achieve both a fullness of their own faith and an understanding of others.

Thus, preserving the unity of the family and allowing the expression of their will.

Actually, I think that the problem stems from being forced to attend church, bible study, and other church events. If all of your friends, family, and people from your church are constantly pounding false information into your head, some of it's bound to sink in. Luckily, I was always questioning things and by being a military brat I was never far from people that shared my beliefs and didn't force theirs on me. I wasn't groomed to be a Christian, THANK GOD!!!

I don't think that society can protect children, that's the parents' job. I would give them every weapon to fight with and help them grow in faith. Pray and give them to God.
