its a DVD-R file with both audio_ts and video_ts files in it. im using convertxtodvd or whatever and i do it and i put it in my dvd player and it says it cannot read disk - no playback feature. so am i doing something wrong?, i also like to know how to get the orginal dvd menu from the video_ts file and play it so its just like what you buy at the store.

ive used the dvd that i burnt on severel dvd players and it wont work but will work on my computer.

mmm ... convertx wont do the menu .. ifu converted from an avi u dont have a menu to start with ryt ... anyway if u have the audio and videots, burn the two folders and close the disk ... that should help ... if you want menus u need to get a full featured authoring app like adobe premier ..tmpgenc dvd author is more basic and can make menus .... if ur going from dvd to dvd then rip and shrink the wholething with dvd decrypter and dvd shrink ...

If your PC recognizes the disc as an actual DVD than it's just the DVD player doesn't recognize the DISC Dye or the writen format i.e. PAL/Ntsc OR region.
Using something like Nero 7 or Clone DVD would be my suggestion.

What video format are you using? Burner utility like it is meant for information and music burning, no longer for coming up action picture disks. in case you have ripped a DVD to the place you have the VOB and different information, it would desire to have the flexibility to repeat those to a disk. try ripping your movies using DVD Decryptor on your tricky force and then burn them to disk with Nero.
