Is it in order for a pastor to have his Elders or Deacons to preach a message without going to a class?

Scriptures dictate the qualifications for elders and deacons to be "apt to teach."
It may not be their primary calling, but it should be something they are capable of doing.

A competent Pastor would make sure that whoever he asked to preach was well grounded in the Word and had some experience speaking before a group of people I would imagine.

All Christians are called to be able to give an explanation of the hope that is within them. But it is God who gifts and calls people to be preachers.

A pastor can ask anyone to preach.

The call to be a pastor is different for each person but usually the Lord gives you scriptures and then confirms it through someone or something else. And it stands the test of time.

I was called to be a missionary in High School. The Lord has confirmed it in many ways. I spent 8 1/2 years in a traveling drama ministry and now am currently taking classes to become a licensed minister in order to become a missionary full time.

Blessings.

It's interesting to note that at Acts 4:13 it says that Jesus' apostles were "unlettered and ordinary men" and that they did not go to theological schools. They were taught by means of the scriptures with the help of God's holy spirit, his active force, and were therefore able to teach others, and so forth. As each new disciple learned and got baptized then they in turn would teach others. Jesus said it would be the same all the way to the end of the world.-Matthew 28:19,20

If you are truly called to preach, then God has given you a gift for preaching. Have people told you that you have a gift for preaching? If not, perhaps this is not your calling.

I am a young preacher. If you have the desire to preach, and it won't leave you alone, that is the call to preach.

You just start telling people about God and the words come to you. It's like anything that God does with people, they just are able to do it. Classes and knowledge are great to have. But God gives the ability.

You will be lead by The Spirit of God. Yes, if they have proper Biblical knowledge and discernment. BTW-We as Christians are all called to be ministers of the word.

It feels as if something is missing and you aren't doing all you can do for God if you aren't doing it. As you go through your day you start noticing things that would be good illustrations for a sermon.
