I went to the grocery store and found $40 on the floor in the checkout line. I bought $39 worth of groceries, so it worked out just right for me. Now as an atheist, what should I think? I don't think it would be GOD since I am the ultimate sinner. Could it be the Devil keeping me on his side or just plain old natural fortunate luck?

Did you ever consider placing the $40.00 in an envelope, with you name and phone nuimber on it and give it to the manager, with witnesses, in case someone comes back looking for it, such as a less fortunate person, or even your Grandma Sally?
If the answer is, "NO", you really are a selfish atheist sinner and if there were a God, you'd have to pray for this one.
If the answer is, "YES" then you are a considerate and compassionate atheist and if there were a God, he would look with favor on you.

It's God's quiet way of saying, "I love you." Everyone is a sinner and God loves us all. The Devil is whispering in your ear trying to convince you otherwise. Don't let that happen because you're missing out on what God has to offer you.

If you are an atheist then it is just plain luck. However I would have reported it. You never know, it could have been the entire monthly money for a family or elderly. So the other atheist saying, what comes around goes around.

im not exactly an atheist, but pretty close!
i think this is just pure luck. remember, atheist dont believe in both the devil and god.
In any case, just chalk it up to good luck or fortune.
I think what your feeling is more of guilt that somebody lost thier money.
Dont feel guitly. there was no way of knowing who the money really belonged to.

Do you think that because you are a sinner God has forsaken you? The bible tells us "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" that is why we need a savior, that is why God sent His Son to die for us sinners. Christ came into the world not to condemn it but that the world(you and I) might be saved. Never forget God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you through His Son Jesus Christ. The $40. obviously got you thinking, just could be God.

It was old Slewfoot bribing you to stay on his side. The devil is the god of this world and is control of the world's monies. Hell is firey and hot and last for eternity. Bad pharoes and cavemen are in their right now, and big Red Satan runs the place. It is like his personal kingdom where he mints his own coins and has his own government down there, man

Someone was just unlucky enough to lose their $40 and you were lucky enough to be the one to find them. It has nothing to do with religion really.
