This issue is a great source of frustration for me. I only have a vague idea of what i like. Whenever I have tried to pursue something I was refused the opportunity to even train for upgrades. Perhaps I'M just looking for someone or something to give me a tiny idea of what to do.

Education in high school was very difficult due to problems with my parents. It is due to past experiences that I would like to get professionally involved in the addiction's industry.

My question is what kind of careers could i possibley train for to effectively treat addictions both mentally and physically?

Treating addictions won't be as profitable as you might hope but is very needed. Think of all the jobs at a treatment center from the person checking them in to the doctors that give them physicals when they first get there. They have security people, people to show movies or lead classes. If you don't want to work so hands on with the people maybe something in research. Treatment centers really like to work with people who understand the issues from personal experience.
If you haven't dealt with your personal problems with your addicted person join Alanon. You don't want to try to deal with theirs until you deal with your own.
