I am looking to install a new radio in my truck. Usually this wouldn't be a big deal, but on this truck, the cassette player is in a totally different part of the dash then the radio. Do i just block one off? wouldn't that look strange? anyone have a set up for this?
Thanks
Adam

Your truck actually has three parts to the audio system: the radio tuner controls mounted above the climate controls, the cassette player in the center of the dash, and the amplifier/tuner pack hidden away under the dash, above and to the right of the gas pedal.

When you replace the radio in this truck, the new radio will be mounted in place of the cassette player. You can buy mounting kits that replace the entire center panel, including the vent openings, and allow some extra depth for the new radio. The kits are available in factory-matched colors:

The original radio control module above the climate controls won't work any more. You can leave it in place, dead, or you can remove it and replace it with a pocket:

i have install many of this and i have parts new in the bac grey, red, and blue
you just remove the tape player and install the radio there under the dash by the acelerator you will find a metal bix that is the amplifier all your power and speaker cables are there also the antenna

\if you keep the power on this unit the clock will work next to the ac controls you don't have to remove it it can stay there
good luck

if you need a kit let me know $10.00 will be ok
