I just want to know, please answer with how much, every 6 months? age? and any driving history?

My mom and I are paying 2000$ 6 months, both of us have had "unsafe operation" in our driving records. does that sound reasonable to you?

I'm really new to this car insurance and trying to know.

thanks

When I was in NJ (13 yrs ago) I paid $700 for 6 months with a clean driving record, 29 yr old female (adult rate) & pleasure use. Rates have gone through the roof in NJ since then so your rate sounds about right to me. You are also a youthful driver with a ticket. If you think it is high, call around to other agents & get quotes. Start with an independent agent that represents a lot of companies. Some companies may offer a package credit if your mother puts her homeowners or renters coverage with the same company. Also, is it possible to drop collision coverage (if the car is paid off)? Another thought, if you only have one car & it is a new one, call your agent to see what it would be if you bought an older car (that doesn't need comprehensive & collision) & you were the primary driver of the older car. See if that helps you. It could be better due to multicar credit.

There is no way Belkin lives in NJ. The surcharges on the tickets alone would cost way more than his total premium....

How much auto insurance is right for you?

Our team of insurance professionals understands the New Jersey car insurance needs of our customers.

Auto insurance requirements vary by state. In some states, to drive you must carry:

Liability coverage to pay for losses you cause others
No-fault coverage to pay you and your passengers for medical and related expenses caused by injuries from a car accident, regardless of who is at fault
Both liability and no-fault coverage.

We write insurance in New Jersey and would be happy to help you ensure you have the right car insurance coverage.
