why or why not?

personally, it's a no for me. i just don't think that it's all possible, if there was a god, there would be miracles, and there's no such thing as miracles

for those saying all that about a blind man seeing, deaf man hearing: what PROOF is there? just give me a reason to believe

and for those saying 'ill bring you to the right path', you have no right to decide what the right path is. i'll decide that for myself, thanks

I do, and I can't really explain it. I believe in the Bible and that there is Heaven and Hell and that Jesus Christ died for my sins. Miracles do happen but it depends on what you consider miracles. Like right in your face automatic healing, no ... but life altering for better or for worse, fate type miracles, yes. I honestly believe that whenever a woman is told she cannot physically have children gets pregnant without medical aid then it is a miracle and a gift. It's up to you in what you believe or not, you stated yours and I stated mine. I actually like this question because it's open to different beliefs. I'm sure I'll take loads of thumbs down for this answer but I really don't care! Have a nice day!

-To anyone saying that those who don't beleive are wrong and vice versa, it's their choice to believe or not and you can not say they are right or wrong when given an option in faith. Earn respect by giving it. Live your own life and let them live theirs. It's not harming you by them not having the same belief. At least it shouldn't. Please no rude emails ... this is just how I feel about people saying I am right and you are wrong when it comes to God and anything else to do with religion or life to a point.

Yes, I believe in God. I just don't see how the earth, people, animals, etc. could have just come about by circumstance.

I have experienced many miracles in my life. Most are small things that could go unnoticed but others have been major things that, for me, have been right up there with the parting of the Red Sea.

I think that you have to believe in God before you will see things as miracles. People who don't believe in God look for other ways to explain what happened. But what happens when there is just no explanation?

I believe that there is one "God" and no other "gods". It is a personal descision you'll have to make, no one will push you to. However, people have a limited life span, and whatever you devote yourself to within that time would be the only recognition of who you are.

Just because there are miracles that you cannot recognise dosen't imply the fact that God does not exist. I was premature at birth and the doctors said that it was impossible for me to live any longer, however I am still alive and well till this day!

Sometimes, God will work miracles in you or allow you to recognise them when you have faith in him. Faith goes a long way in proving whether if trust and determination is there or not.

Olive you are correct about the miracles , To those who believe in miracles why has no one in recorded history grown a new set of limbs ? . Now that would be a miracle that could be checked and proven . ( even a new leg would do ) !!.
I rest my case !!!
Cheers Pete

EDIT .
Olive ! have you noticed that so far you have 41 other replies not a single one has challenged my statement , furthermore I am sure that no one will because even the most ardent believer has no answer to the problem of why no one has ever received a new leg or limb etc after an amputation !!!
Cheers again Pete

Yes, I do believe in God. He created me, the universe and all that is in it. Without Him there would be nothing, nada, zilch! You would not be here, I would not be here, no one would be here.

He sent His Son to die on the cross for my sins, and now that I have accepted God into my life I am able to go to Heaven eternally with Him and not the suffering place called Hell.

There is a such thing as miracles, I experience them all the time and they are from God. It's a miracle I am living, it's a miracle you are living, how can you not believe in miracles?

I pray that one day very soon you will relize God's love for you and accept Him as your Lord and Savior and join me in Heaven.

Love,
sport4jc

I do not believe in the God of ANY religion.

At the same time, I KNOW there are forces and energies in the Universe that we know little about, and understand even less.

I KNOW there is a force or energy available to Mankind that we can connect to or access, and this energy is what allows us to become HUMAN BEINGS, or MORE than simply "superior" animals. Knowledge of this force or energy is the Knowledge I'm seeking.

I'm sorry you don't recognize the "Miracle" you and each of us truly are.

Well, there could be a god who didn't like performing miracles at this time for some reason, but...

The reason I don't believe in gods is because there is absolutely no evidence or compelling reason to believe that they exist. In absense of any reason to think that they should exist, I file them next to the tooth fairy and unicorns. Interesting fiction, but humans produce LOTs of that.

This is an easy one... Of course God is real. Though you may not have 'seen' or 'experienced' one, miracles do happen. I'll give you an easy example without reference to any holy book of scriptures (ie, Bible, Qu'ran, Tanakh, Bhaghavad-Gita, etc.) When someone asks me, 'Do you believe in God? Why?' I ask them in return, 'Do you believe in the atom? Why?' The reason is this: People can easily distill their answers' to, 'I don't believe, because I don't see, and I don't see evidence' (analogous to your situation) And yet imagine their surprise when I respond in kind, 'Science, with all of its technology, electron microscopes, magnetic-resonance imaging, infrared and ultraviolet visual technologies has thus far been unable to 'see' a single atom. Search the 'Net and you may find images of glowing points on a needle head, representing photons emitted, but this far, no picture ever, none, anywhere of a single atom has been produced by anyone or anything. And yet, scientists believe (on faith) that it exists. 'But we see matter all around us as evidence for its existence!' The atom (not Adam) is my evidence for God's existence...

Everything in your life is a miracle. When you breath, you breath in God. He is everywhere there is anywhere. He reaches beyond His creation. He lives in my heart. I am who He says I am in the Scriptures.

You really want to know if there is a God? Then start to read in the bible. He will reveal Himself to you.

Yes, there are still miracles today. I am the product of a great bi-ig God. He changed my life and gave me a new start. If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me. God bless

Which god are you referring to? There are at least 3,000 known beliefs on Earth of a deity.

As to miracles, yes there are - the universe, even if completely natural is still a miracle.
