Well, first of all make sure you get up and walk up and down the aisle at least every hour to hour and a half to avoid blood pooling in the legs and increased risk of clots. Drink plenty of water and take along candy or throat losinges.
Take a variety of materials to suit your mood, such as a book and a couple of magazines. If you have something that absorbs a bunch of time (other than Y!A) like crosswords, take that. Plan on doing some sleeping so wear comfortable clothes. I wear comfortable shoes also.

Before your plane takes off, figure out what time it is in the country you are going to. So, say for explanation's sake your plane leaves at 5pm, but you are going to Paris, France, which is 7 hours ahead - so it is midnight there. So, you really should be sleeping as soon as the plane takes off. This will help TREMENDOUSLY with jet lag. So, I would get some sleeping aid pills and sleep as much as possible. If this is not the case and you need to be up on the plane, get books, movies, games and lots of magazines.

Take a sleeping pill and sleep.
Buy a Sudoku book
Buy a PSP (they are pretty cheap now)
Listen to my Ipod
Bring a deck of cards
Read
I always bring stuff to snack on (plan food is icky)
Buy a few magazines you like to read
You could get a cheap portable DVD player (at walmart) and headphones

Your pretty limited when it comes to flying... The best thing is to just sleep... that way you don't get annoyed with the other people on the plan and you don't realize how slow the time is creeping by...

Good luck man!

I love reading so I usually carry some interesting books with me, if you don’t like reading you can listen to music, it helps you catching a good sleep during the flight or you can carry some snacks and can enjoy the view outside the window. Video Games can also be a good alternative for pass time. Good luck

If you're lucky enough to get the feature of several movies to choose from you can watch one of those. A flight that long you should get it but I suppose that depends on the airline.

I would recommend taking a book or 2 or 3 lo.

I take Sleeping Pills and listen to music and eat and go to the bathroom and pray for the flight to end. There's no easy way but if you want to get to where you want to go it beats walking or taking the bus.....especially if there is an ocean in between. Have a good flight.
