You do not need insurance to take care of a stab wound, just go to the emergency room and ask for some help. The duct tape may cause an infection and so, probably, will whatever was on the knife. If it was a real deep wound, sterilize the entry area with some hydrogen peroxide, make sure that the bandage is not so tight that it cuts off circulation, and get your *** to the emergency room. Purple is not a good color for your fingers, so make sure that this is taken care of ASAP. Massaging your fingers may help get the blood flowing to them again, but do not wrap the hand very tight after you have the bleeding stopped. Have you left for the ER Yet???

First, I'll say that STD's are not only transmitted through sex, but that is where the greatest risk is. They could be transmitted through needle contact, which is also part of the next way, because needles come in contact with blood/bodily fluids, which is a very common way to get an STD.
That being said, you are cutting off whatever circulation is left (purple fingers), you're increasing your risk of infection (duct tape, napkins, coagulated blood, unclean areas), and you're likely going to do some major damage if you don't get it looked at (depending on the severity of the cut), possibly by an EMT if you don't want to go the Dr. route.
You also say that your parents are on vacation, which means you likely live with them, which means you are likely 21 or under. If both of your parents went on vacation in the mountains, I'll assume they work, which means there's a good chance they have insurance through work (although, not everyone does). Now, assuming they have insurance, and you are under 21 (some plans will cover children up to 23 or 25 years old, depends on the company), you are likely covered as well, which means go to the hospital.

If the cut is very deep go to the hospital worry about the cost later. If your fingers are purple and cool to the touch you may have the tape too tight and you are cutting off the circulation. If the wound is shallow wash with warm soapy water, rinse well. the napkin you mentioned take it off and use a CLEAN cotton cloth of some type. Change the bandage at least twice a day. If I can not persuade you to see a doctor at least go to an adult neighbor and let them see the wound. Let them help you with a decision. This could be a really good way to lose a hand if you let an infection set up. The guy above me is right Tetanus is a possibility (nasty thing tetanus aka lockjaw)

STDs are only transmitted through sex acts. Thus the Sexually Transmitted in the name. Your fingers might be purple because you have the tape on too tightly and are cutting off your circulation. Re-tape it looser and change the napkin in the morning. Just keep it clean and dry. If it's still bleeding badly in the morning you need to see a Dr. You really don't want an infection.

First of all.. you cannot get a STD from stabbing yourself. STD= sexually transmitted disease. Second, you need to go to the hospital to get it checked out and get a tetanus shot. If you absolutely can't go.. quit being a cheap *** and go get some real bandages, antibiotic ointment and hydrogen peroxide. Clean the would everyday with the hydrogen peroxide first, than apply the antibiotic ointment. Make sure to monitor the site for puss and redness. Those are signs of a infection, which means.. take your *** to the hospital.

the hospital must treat you regardless of insurance...you need to remove the tape and napkin...wash good with antibacterial soap and water...put antibiotic (neosporin) ointment on it and then put bandaid on it before the napkin...better than a napkin is a gauze pad and then wrap with duct tape to hold in place. keep your hand elevated and take advil for the pain and swelling

you need to go to the hospital.....they can not deny you if you don't have insurance. you can always make payment arrangements when the bills come.
Fingers turing purple is not a good sign....you don't have enough circulation to the fingers which means you put the tape on too tight..

Are you kidding? Because that is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Go to the store and buy some band aids and some antibiotic ointment. Jeez, don't be so lazy.
And did you really say "STD?" Holy cow.....do you even know what STD means? It means "sexually transmitted disease." You get it from SEX.....not from stabbing yourself with a knife.

You are obviously very naive. You don't get STD in this kind of accident. You may likely get tetanus infection if your knife is rusty. Go for anti-tetanus injection immediately.
Tetanus is fatal. DO NOT DELAY!
GET THE INJECTION AT ONCE!!!!!!!
