Running on a treadmill. I'm a smoker, and I find that I can do the eliptical for 20-30 minutes straight without getting winded, but if I start off on a run, I can't even do ten. Also, on the calories burned....screen, I guess you can call it, I've noticed that you burn more calories running than doing the eliptical.

I find the elliptical more challenging because it uses all the leg muscles as well as the abs when correct posture is used. Also, the handles work the arms and shoulders. A plus to the elliptical is that it puts less strain on the knees.

The elliptical is more challenging overall unless you run on a incline on the treadmill!

I find the elliptical more challenging, but also more...fun. x) Compared to the treadmill anyway. The treadmill bores me out of my mind.
