ecrimsonpd: I am heading up north to a camp I used to work at and I know I will be able to use their stuff for free, and I think it will be fun to try. I can always fall back on buying one if it sucks. But I would like to at least give it a shot.

why would you want to make your own holster wouldn't you sacrafice the retention features the manufatured one posses. you cant find plenty of low cost high quality holsters on line. try cheapholsters.com or even look on ebay.
