Since when I was dress shopping I saw MATERNITY wedding dresses in white the "virgin only" rule is definately out the window.

Wear what you want.

Yes you can, white has nothing to do with virginity (unless you are a born again Christian, Christians make up their own rules about everything). The wearing of white only became popular because Queen Victoria wore white, if only she had married in blue or pink, life would have been so much simpler. In my eyes if you are marrying the one you love, and you are starting out as a new family together with your child, then there is nothing more pure than that.

I dont know if this applies but i am catholic and will be getting maried on 8/4 and traditionally if you are not a virgin you are not able to wear white bit who wants to get married in any other color so this is what i did i got a dress in diamond white it's not pure so i will not be breaking any traditions or sinning and to be honest it looks white if not better. So if i were you find a dress in diamond white :) i hope this helps.

Yes you may. A bride may wear any color she likes.

White never meant purity or virginity. It meant wealth. Queen Victoria made it popular when she wore it when she married. White was and is very difficult to keep clean and wearing white showed people that you had money to throw away on a dress you would only wear once or twice.

I say yes! If you are going to feel awkward, add a little dot in the back with your favorite color (that way it wont all be white!) Just kidding. But if you think white won't work for you, go for an ivory color! Either way, I say go for what YOU WANT AND WHAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY! if white makes you happy (and the wedding of your dreams) then go for it! GOOD LUCK!

Yes, the tradition of wearing white came from an English Queen.

White was an expensive fabric to purchase at the time. Therefore, if you had a dress of pure white, people knew you had money.

Most people who get married aren't virgins anyway, and they still wear white, so I don't see why you can't.

Honey it's 2007, it used to be you could only get married in white if you were a virgin..So that basicaly eliminates 99% of the female population. Don't worry about it, get married in the color you want, even if it's pink..It's your wedding and you get to decide.
Congratulations
