my boyfriend is driving from moncton nb (on the east coast, atlantic canada) to ottawa today for work.. anyone know how far of a drive it is? either that, or to montreal because its only another few hrs from there... just a general idea?

12 to 14 hours depending on your route and traffic.

I made the trek from Saint John to Ottawa quite a bit. Assuming he hasn't been caught in a speed trap through Quebec, the whole trip takes about 12 hours. This is also assuming he's fairly agressive through the "single lane" spots in NB and between Edmunston and Riviere du Loup, and that he drives around the 120km/h speed on the main highways.
Also depending on what time he left, he could be caught in Montreal traffic..

It is 5 hours from Moncton to the Quebec border, another 5 to Montreal and another 2 hours max to Ottawa.

13 hour drive and 740 miles according to mapquest

When we drove it it took, as I recall, about 10 hours driving time.
