You don't. However you will pass it out when you move your bowels.

Actually, very little of the bubblegum is digestible. As you chew bubblegum, the sugars in it are released and are absorbed within an hour or two. If you swallow the gum, most of it passes through the intestine without being absorbed and it excreted in the feces. A small part of the gum may be digested and absorbed within the first 24-36 hours after you swallow it.

it takes the same amount of time to pass through your system as everything else... because you cant digest gum, and it doesnt break down... gum will stay intact, when it comes out the back end!!

If it somehow did not poop for a few years, your body would eventually digest it.
But under normal circumstances, your body will not digest gum. It'll pass through your gastrointestinal tract and out your anus undigested (similar to how fiber goes)

I don't know for sure, but it's not 7 years like everyone always says. If that was the case, kids would have swollen stomaches full of old gum.

contrary to popular belief, gum DOES break down. this is notable when you chew the same piece of gum for hours on end, and it loses its "snap" when you bite into it. it will eventually break into many many tiny pieces and lose its normal form. this happens because your mouth is at an average, 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. molecules spread apart in warmer conditions, and "huddle" together in cooler conditions. your teeth and acids in your body help break these molecules down, until it loses its form. granted it still isn't as fast of a process as compared to regular solid foods, but it still breaks down into tiny pieces. chances are you won't find it in one piece when it comes out the other end :)

people say it takes 7 months, some 7 years, it's seven weeks. It takes longer than normal food because its a rubber like substance but not as long if you accidentally swallowed a chicken bone or something like that
