Lol, I looked this up a few days ago too and it takes approximately 127 licks to get to the center, but scientists say it depends on the licker's gender.

It all depends on the amount of time and surface covered with each lick. It also would depend on the individual tootsie pop you have. (And yes they do still make them.)
