Not much you can do to calm her at this point, you just have to wait it out.
Now you know why you need to get her spayed = and fast.

Nope, but you need to know that cats come in heat, go out then about 3 weeks later go back into heat until they are bred or a couple of months go by. If she is bleeding now, call and make an appointment for her spay for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks from now or you will be going through this again in a few weeks.

The operation should be done and the cat in heat shouldn't be a problem, have you talked to your vet? There might be an extra charge but not that much . A small price to pay to get some peace.

Sun, I'm not really sure why your vet won't perform this surgery now...I've had cats in heat spayed before (though sometimes you're charged a bit more.)
A bit of catnip might mellow her out a bit. Just put a pinch on the floor and she'll roll around in it and eventually scarf it up.
THANK YOU for being a responsible pet owner and intending to spay your kitty :)

I'm surprised that they won't spay her while she's in heat. There's nothing medically that indicates that it can't be done.
In fact, cats can even be spayed while pregnant.
There might be an additional charge, but if I were you, I'd talk to your vet. And try to schedule an appointment soon.

My vet has fixed one of my cats before when she was in heat. A while back it would just cost a little extra. Now their policy changed and it's the same. So I'm not sure why they won't do it.
There's nothing you can do to calm the butt in the air and howling. Try to ignore it & don't get mad; it's natural for her.
Good luck!

It is difficult to catch a cat when she isn't in heat! lol. At our practice, we don't charge extra for cats in heat--they don't have as many complications as dogs do. There's not a whole lot you can do to stop the behavior.
