Well ok, I'm depressed, I think it might be clinically, but anyway it has a nasty side effect of being angry alot and easily, basically, i'm short tempered. By the way, I'm 13. So I have a girl friend and well I told her about it and stuff but I don't think she understands or something. Either way, she's had enough. And she's sick of me treating her that way. So we're still really good friends (It's like 2 days later) but I still really love her. I said sorry and promised to try and fix it if we got back together again but she does'nt believe I can. I have some remedies I found online. What Do I tell her I can't live without her. Also if you have any good anger management strategies please post them. Very Grateful for answers. Thank you so much.

I say youre 13, you need to talk to your parents about your depression. They can get you help. Now isn't the time to worry about a girlfriend. If your parents get you help, then you can go to your girlfriend and show her things are better.

Do NOT I repeat DO NOT buy medicine online. You don't know what it is you are taking and it is probably ilegal. If you feel you need help then ask your parents to take you to an evaluation and the head doctor may or may not prescribe real medicine. Taking stuff that you don't know can poison you and kill you. Just listen to all the problems that the chinese are having. They are selling food with one of the ingredients is cardboard. ALso, they 8 people dies in south america for using ilegal ingredients. Not he south americans but the chinese. What I'm trying to get at is to know what you are taking. Threat your body well and it will treat you well.
Enough of the preaching. Lets get to the meat of the problem. I'm sorry to tell you but being a teenager is one of the hardest years of your life. The reason is that you are going to the transition from being a boy to being an adult. Your brain and your body are changing in many interesting ways. You will start to view the world a little bit different. Add to that that your hormones will be raging like a bangle tiger with mad cow disease and rabies all at the same time. To make things worst being a teenager means that you neither have the freedom you want nor the power to bargain. Is a bad situation all around. So, being depress is normal at this age. Don't dissapear. Things will pass and get better. Well, what really happens is that you leave your old problem behind and get into new ones but thats another story for another day. What I'm trying to say is that is all normal and all of had gone through it. Well, everyhting but the anger thing. I mean, you will get angry for no good reason sometimes but to explode like that is not healthy.
Here is what you do.
1) Do not say the first thing that is in your mind. It is better to be an idiot in secret than open your mouth and let the whole world know.
2) Do not do the first thing that comes into your mind.
3) Walk away with some dumb excuse. For example, say "give me a second I'm going to get a glass of water". Anything really. The idea is to give yourself a way to get out of cituation and get a few seconds to cool off and think of an alternative solution.
4) become more empathetic towards others. Mentally put yourself in others people shoe. By this I mean reverse the role inmaginarily. Pretend they are the ones hurting you. Once you start to see how hurtfull it is you will understand other people better.

Get your parents to take you to the Dr. and go to counseling. I have been diagnosed as being clinically depressed for about 6months now. While medications is not the answer for everyone it was for me. By the way, I'm older than 13. I found that I was being mean to the people that I love. I would get mad in a flash for absolutely no reason. Believe me counseling helps. My family and church family also are huge helps. Good Luck.

I know it sucks cause you want to be with her, but 1st you need to work on you... You are no good to anyone, even yourself unless you get help. My hubby was the same way in high school== If you are on Ritalin, this can be a side effect of it. You should talk to your parents about it, even if it will be hard. Maybe you just need to talk to someone. Depression is very serious & can get worse with time. I was VERY angry from 14-16 years old & didnt know why. Just nervous & hormones. It helped me to talk to people. Draw, paint, write. Maybe take up running or biking. Just dont shut down. Find an outlet. It will help too. After you get the help, maybe then go to her... If its not ment to be, then try not to fret too much. Most people dont get into real relationships till mid 20s... Just have fun with life & help you before you try to be with anyone. You will take it out on them, even if you dont want to.... Good luck...

wow ur 13 and u have anger management issues?
hon ... what you need right now is to focys on urself more than anything.
let the girl be. you should first learn to be strong and healthy on ur own.
i'm saying this coz even if u do convince the girl to get back with you .. ur condition will influence her adversely.
you should be considerate of her situation.
one important thing about love is - it will come back to you if its meant to be.
ur 13... don't beat urself up coz of love. you work to get ur anger in line. a therapist will be able to help you. try a support group. personal help workls better than a book or a video.
all the best

The best thing to do is go get some counseling and fix your anger problems and when she sees that you are making a change in your short fuse ways for her she might come back.

u know what would help you out......getting to a doctor and getting on an anti depressant. not only would the medicine help you out with the depression......but it would also help you tremendously with your anger problem. thats the beauty of the medicine it will help with both things. get to a doc at once. you are still young so this is a great time to get the right help. most of us dont get the help we need until we are 25 or older. do it now instead!
