I'm not Catholic but when did the Catholic Church start approving gay marriage? Or the gay lifestyle? Sure would change my mind about that church. The Bible clearly teachs this is a sin..both the Old and the New Testament.
I know I want change your mind, but I would not lay this on your Dad right now..It sounds like he has his own problems to deal with. Give him a break....

Yeah, your church is not Catholic, 100% for sure on that. Actually, if the Pope found out about your church, he would probably have the priest and bishops excommunicated unless they changed their opinions.
I personally think it is very wrong to only give your Dad 3 weeks to meet your future spouse whether that spouse is female or male.

I don't know what kinda Catholic you are but I have NEVER heard of a Catholic church who condones homesexuality much less gay marriage...unless you count priests and little boys.
Your just going to have to tell him and hope he can handle it. Be senstive about his feelings. Do it in private and don't do alot of PDA with your boyfriend in front of him. Be prepared for a very strained relationship for a while but hopefully he will come around.

If he can't love you for who you are, and loves his religion more than you, then he is only your sperm donor.
You shouldn't have made your sister tell him, this is YOUR life and YOUR choice to tell him yourself.
Just make sure you are stable enough to not depend on him for ANYTHING.
Good luck!
