When I'm on the computer, I usually have one dog on a pillow on my lap, one on a pillow on the desktop and one by my feet. The one on the desktop takes the place of my keyboard. Either I have to hold the keyboard out to the side or I'll use the onscreen keyboard (found under 'programs - accessories - accessibility') with my mouse to type. Fortunately I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and can use them both at a distance from the computer.

Aaawww, yours sound cute, mine are Old English Sheepies far too big for lap dogs, not that it bothers them, they still try to sit on my knee and I disappear behind a wall of hair. At the moment Harry is outside with a bone, Maggie is at my feet and Pashka is staring out of the window giving wee growls at people passing, in other words kidding on she's a big brave dog (some hope) .

I use laptop and I use it on my bed. One dog is sleeping next to me. This dog is always besides me and he follows me around. Its funny how he follows me to the toilet in the middle of the night and sit there and wait for me with his sleepy look and he will be yawning non-stop.The other one normally stays in his crate, which is placed on a low full length bench by the window...so he can have a perfect view of the garden. He can stay there all day and night, just looking at the scenery. He will come to me and sit infront of me and see what I am doing and wont go away unless I rub his neck and head. He does that several times in a day :)

My guy is always no more then 6 feet away from me. That was because the leash I trained him on was only 6 feet. Right now he is sitting on my right side staring at me hoping that he can convince me to reach in my pocket and pull out a cookie. He is ever hopeful that if he just watches me every second the cookie will come and he is right. They only come when he is looking me in the eyes.

Dog under the chair sound asleep and cat sitting on my arm, litterally, and its hard to type whilst she is there too.
Needless to say im stuck on the computer for a while cause I dont want to disturb either of them whilst they are so peacefull. Add to that, the dog is so big that it is virtualy impossible to move the chair from over him anyway. Ill be buggered as to why he squeezes himself in there, but he keeps my feet warm.:)

One of my dogs is always laying on the top part of the couch next to my head. She occasionally jumps down and tries to sit in my lap and pushes all the buttons on my laptop screwing everything up. LOL! The other ones are either on the floor at my feet or laying up against me on the couch. :)

My beagle is stretched out snoring next to me on the couch with her head on a pillow, taking up the whole thing except where I am sitting. Most of time she is sleeping on the back of the couch.

I used to have dogs, but now I only have cats. My cats are usually on my key board when I'm on the computer. Right now one is on my bed and the other is scratching at my door.

Mine lays behind my chair.

She is not allowed to be on my lap unless invited, she is not allowed on any furniture but my bed and our sofa..certainly not tables.

I LOVE my dog, and she is spoiled in many ways that I have allowed. But she is not to run my house nor impair my movement.

Sorry. I know each of us, as individuals, have our own set of rules and regulations.
