I've heard there are people calling themselves Christians who do not believe in hell. They apparently pick which parts of the bible they believe and disregard anything they don't like. Do you believe everything you read in God's Word, or do you pick-and-choose to please yourself?

I believe that if you are a christian, you believe in heaven and therefore as stated there is a Hell. I dont pick and choose, some things are just easier to understand. Thats what bible study is for, to understand and ask questions about such verses and writings in the bible that are some what complex. But every question i ask is given an answer until I finally get it. there is no picking and choosing, but seeking answers for the parts that are for me, hard to understand.

Either all of it is true or none of it is true and those same 'christians' probably also accept that evolution happened and that God didn't create the world and everything in it in 6 days like He said He did. Just about every 'religion' is guilty of picking the parts that they like. Look at any denomination's ways to be saved and you get a full picture of just how badly satan has deceived soooo many.

I am a catholic have been for many many years I believe in the sacraments and practise them regularly, and I can tell you unequivocally there is no such a place as hell, the only hell that is out there is in your own mind, as for the bible only a fool would follow such nonsense, God the father in heaven is the only brass that can save your a-ss come judgement day, and may he have mercy on your soul, peace be with you.

Hell is very real to me you can't pick and chose a a christain because with out the bad consicences then what keeps christains from sinning ( not saying christains don't sin)

Yes I do. It wouldn't be in God's word if it was not real.

Besides if it were not real then why would Jesus have suffered and died so we wouldn't have to?

Oh, and to answer your question regarding God's word, It's all or nothing and I choose all. Although unfortunately not everyone is like that as 2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns.

Of course I believe in eternal punishment for those who die in there sins. Jesus spoke more about Hell, then Heaven.
