Well, we would be able to see if Joseph the carpenter would have been his father or not. We could also compare it with all the males Mary had had contact with, to see if any of them were the fathers, and that all would be a start.

Also if there were some weird stuff in his DNA, something could be asserted towards him being or not the son of a deity.

Great question, i can't imagine how Jesus's DNA would be like.

If i had to guess, i'd say that his DNA would completly lack transposons and any observable "bad" mutations (that would most definitively prove that he was the son of God).

To people who got somethings wrong: Jesus is human, just like you and me. Unlike you and me, he is also God (he have a divine nature as well as a human nature). But he was human! he had 23 pair of chromosomes, one of them being the X and the Y)

The bible says that Jesus' blood line can be traced back 42 generations, this was to prove that he was human, no where in the bible does it suggest the he wasn't, however he was the son of God. An angel appeared to Joseph before Jesus was born telling him that his wife to be was pregnant and that he should not be afraid to marry her because the child was of God, The angel told Joseph that the child would be named Jesus (meaning that he would be Saviour). His DNA would prove he was human, but that's not what is in question, the miracles he performed prove he is the son of God. He said to the paralyzed man, "which is easier, to say your sins are forgiven or to say get up and walk" The answer is obvious, it is easier to say your sins are forgiven because it cannot be proven or dis proven until one dies, so he said to the man take you bed, get up and go home, and he did. He also fed 5000 thousand people with 5 small loafs of bread and 5 small fish and still had leftovers, He also walked on water. He was human, but had the spirit of God in Him which is why he could perform these miracles.

Nope, sorry. To do the paternity test, you'd need a DNA sample from the suspected father. Good luck getting that. There's no judge who will give you a warrant to obtain a DNA sample from the Holy Ghost.

The claim/belief that Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit is not as vital to the Christian faith as this question implies.

Still, how would one prove that a person was not the son of a Deity? We don't really have God's DNA on file anywhere, do we?

It would prove what the Bible teaches, that Jesus became fully man so that He could live a sin free life and be our substitute for God's judgment on the cross.

You should know whether He was a deity or not - I am sure your anscestors passed it down since one of them carried Him into Jerusalem.

I feel sad to think of how foolish and stupid and scared to death you and people like you will be on the day we all stand face-to-face with God in all His holiness and power and you who died making a joke of holy things finally find out that we have been telling you the truth all these years. How wasted your life will have been, and what a great tragedy that you could not see truth before you died. It is the saddest thing in the universe - a soul dying without hope of any kind. There is nothing to compare to the horror you will feel in that moment!

You'd have to get the deity's DNA to match it with.

If Jesus have been clearly have religious powers then he will prevail although time he got here to earth. It relies upon if he clearly have magical powers. i be responsive to he did no longer use his magic in front of the Roman military generals or governors. If he did then they could not at all have performed him. Assuming such Jesus grew to become into for actual. end is Jesus not at all needed any extreme powerul lords to be responsive to he grew to become into certainly no longer human yet a God or angel of a few sort. He needed to be killed. in contemporary situations, even believers ought to no longer believe in this new Jesus by fact they could think of he's basically yet another psychological bum interior the streets except he confirmed his potential of magic like making Golden Gate bridege disappear and placed adequate dirt and then cement on perfect to make a street for automobiles to circulate over. which would be magical and human beings could bypass to SF and comprehend with reality this Jesus is a God no longer a bum. user-friendly element to do for any God to do the above. Believers continuously say God does not prefer to tutor himself utilising magic that he's a God yet then how do you clarify the certainty Jesus utilising his potential to cajole or tutor his early disciples he grew to become into certainly no longer human like therapeutic the sick and lifeless coming alive returned utilising his potential to cajole them he grew to become into certainly a God. it sort of feels contradictory to me. So, you advise to tell me God basically desires to chosen who to tutor his potential so as that they are confident and that they bypass to heaven and not tutor his potential to extreme score Roman officers the comparable potential so as that they've not got the prospect to be confident and have the comparable threat for them to circulate with by fact the disciples which grew to become into shown such potential and much less stressful for them to be confident? In a manner giving them a extra constructive threat to have eternal lifestyles? This seems unfair to those Roman officers or the armies who killed him throughout the time of Jesus.
